WordPress Tooltips Glossary Plugin 11.8.6 Released, Select Font Family for Tooltip Content

Hi WordPress Tooltip Users,

Yesterday we released wordpress tooltip plugin, in which wordpress tooltip plugin support change font family for wordpress tooltip title in wordpress tooltip popup window, today we have released WordPress Tooltips Glossary Plugin 11.8.6, in this version, based on user’s suggestion, we support select font family for wordpress tooltip content too. In back end, if you open wordpress tooltips “style settings” menu, you will find new option box “Tooltip Content Font Family”, In “Tooltip Content Font Family” option box, you can select fonts from dropbox, include:
Andale Mono,Arial,Arial Black,Book Antiqua,Comic Sans MS,Courier New,Georgia,Helvetica,Impact,Symbol,Tahoma,Terminal,Times New Roman,Trebuchet MS,Verdana,Webdings,Wingdings… and so on, it looks like this:

Please note, if you want to use theme default font, you can just select “Default” in “Tooltip Content Font Family” option box 🙂

I am happy to report you, based on an amazing user’s feature request, we just released WordPress Tooltips plugin 11.8.4, changes in this version:

WordPress Tooltips Glossary Plugin Support Select Font Family for Tooltip Titles

An amazing user told us, he hope can select font style for tooltips, now in the wordpress tooltip glossary 11.8.4, we support select font family for tooltip titles in tooltip popup box, In back end, when you check tooltips style setting panel, you will find new option box “Tooltip Title Font Family”
In “Tooltip Title Font Family” option box, you can select fonts from dropbox, include:
Andale Mono,Arial,Arial Black,Book Antiqua,Comic Sans MS,Courier New,Georgia,Helvetica,Impact,Symbol,Tahoma,Terminal,Times New Roman,Trebuchet MS,Verdana,Webdings,Wingdings… and so on, it looks like this:

If you do not want to custom wordpress tooltip title font family, you can just select “Default” from wordpress tooltip title font family option box, then it will be decided by your wordpress theme 🙂

Dear Users of WordPress Tooltip Glossary Plugin,

Hope this message find you are doing well. We released wordpress tooltip glossary plugin 11.7.8, changes in this version:

Support Disable WordPress Tooltips for Selected CSS Classes and IDs

We received a users ticket, in which he told us he want to disable wordpress tooltip for selected css classes, this is a great suggestion, our developer have re-developed our wordpress tooltip plugin to realize it 🙂

After upgraded to wordpress tooltip glossary plugin 11.7.8, in back end, you will find in Tooltips Optional Settings panel, there are new “Disable tooltips for selected classed and ids” option, you can enter CSS Classes and IDs(split with comma “,”) in here, in front end, we will remove tooltip effects from selected classed and ids, it looks like this:

Of course, you can remove tooltips in html tags like h1, h2,…. a too 🙂

Also based on user’s ticket, we have added a new video tooltip guide to help you insert video tooltip in wordpress site via 4 methods

Also a few user’s tell us, our WordPress F.A.Q page is a great help to understand how to use wordpress tooltip faster, however, each wordpress tooltip faq item did not have a dedicated faq link, based on users’ suggestion, we have redeveloped our wordpress faq plugin and fixed tooltip faq links problem now

How to Add Video Tooltips in WordPress

Hi Dear WordPress Tooltip Plugin Users,

We received a user’s ticket, in which he asked us a question:

How to Add Video Tooltips in WordPress

I believe a few more users have the same question, we’d like reply in here publicly. 🙂

In the current time, we have 4 methods to insert video into tooltip terms:
# Method 1:
If you have a video file, for example a mp4 file, you can:
a. Log in your wordpress admin panel, click on Tooltips menu, then click “Add New” sub menu
b. Paste the video URL into the text field “Video URL” in the sidebar, please see the picture below.

Once you public the wordpress tooltip post, we will insert this video tooltip in your tooltip popup window automatically 🙂

#Method 2
If your video hosted on youtube, you can:
a. Log in your wordpress admin panel, click on Tooltips menu, then click “Add New” sub menu
b. Input YouTube Video Id into the text field “Youtube Video ID”, for example, if your youtube id is like www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxxxx, then you can copy xxxxxxx in the “Youtube Video ID” meta box, it looks like this:


NOTE: “Video URL” field has higher priority, that means, if you entered URL in the field “Video URL”, “Youtube Video ID” field will be ignored.
Also in the video tooltip metabox, you can change video’s height and width as you want.

#Method 3
If your video hosted on other video platform, you can:
a. In your video platform, click the share button
b. In share video box, copy codes from “Embed” field
c. Insert these codes into your tooltip terms content in tooltip editor

#Method 4

You can use tooltip shortcode to insert Video Tooltip, please check our document at:
