I just released wordpress tooltips 8.0.0, to improve image tooltip functionality based on users requested.
In last versions, when users use image title attribute as image tooltip, if an image have no title, we will try to use alt attribute as image tooltip.
But an amazing user tole me “for me this was not the behaviour I expected. I I choose to display the title of an image as tooltip then do not want the “alt” content to show up”, I think what he said is right, so I re-developed image tooltip functionality based on what he suggested, now image tooltips works like this: if you use
image title attribute
at “Tooltips for Image Keyword Matching Mode ” in global settings panel, we will only use title attribute as image tooltip, if an image have no title, we will not show image tooltip. This update will not change REL attribute image tooltips, also this will not influence use image as image tooltip effect, basically, you can use image tooltips just like what you doing in the current time 🙂
I am start improve video tooltips, because I received a few suggestions about how to help users add video tooltips more easier, yes I understand most of blogger don’t know how to use HTML5 to make a video tooltips, and we need let youtube video tooltips few more pretty, that’s right, right, I am start to re-develop wordpress tooltips to help you make video tooltips easier and make it more pretty, any suggestion is welcome 🙂
