As a user of the wordpress glossary plugin, you probably know that the wordpress glossary plugin has five beautiful glossary templates: Blue, Blonde, Dark, Red, Green, you can find one of our wordpress glossary page template at wordpress glossary demo
In general, what you need to do is just select a pretty glossary template from our glossary design examples via glossary builder, just one minute, you will own a pretty glossary page. 🙂
But two days before, just like we reported that “WordPress Tooltip Glossary Plugin 13.5.8 Released, Glossary Users can Better Customize the Colors for Glossary of Terms“, and we reported that “We got a request from a user of the wordpress glossary plugin who told us that he is an author, he’s writing a glossary of book , he would like to be able to customize the font color of glossary even after turning off the ‘Enable Glossary Index Page’ option”, after get this support request, our developer developed wordpress tooltip 13.5.8 to fix it asap we can, then we have checked all other glossary options to make sure that they always work properly when the user disables the ‘Enable Glossary Index Page’ option. 🙂

One of our users asked us a question:
I just bought your plugin because I need it with classes. But I’ve seen that instead of choosing classes I can only EXCLUDE classes.
I think maybe more users have the same question, I’d like reply in here publicly 🙂
Yes, our tooltip creator support tooltips for css classes or tooltips for css ID, that means tooltips can be attached to any elements which have a css class or css ID in your site, with wordpress tooltips it is very easy to do add tooltip for any class or ID 🙂
Please note, usually, a tooltip site has many tooltip terms, and when the user wants to add the effect of tooltips to a CSS Class, that means, the user wants to bind a specific Tooltip Terms to that specified Class, so if we just add an input box in the Global Settings Panel at backend, it is not enough, because that means you will show all Tooltips on one Class.
For that reason, we added tooltip for class option box in tooltips editor, as a metabox, by this way, you can bind each tooltips to a different Class or ID of the front page. 🙂
It is very easy to add tooltip to a Class or tooltip for ID in front end, many tooltip users write to us: “WordPress tooltip is a time saver!”, Okay, just a few minutes, please  follow my step by step document at below, you can add the effect of tooltip to any class. 🙂

13: Please just enter your css class or css id, which you hope adding a tooltip effects in the ” Tooltip For Forms ” input box, if you do not know how to find CSS Class or CSS Id for component in wordpress, please read How to find a css Class or css ID of component in wordpress page?

How to find a css Class or css ID of component in wordpress page?

Okay, let’s say if you using the browser firefox to view your wordpress post,a official document from firefox can be found at: Debugging CSS , please use a few minutes to read it, then:

5.1 please enter F12, then select “Inspector” tab at the bottom of the firefox browser

5.2 then press CTRL+SHIFT+C

5.3 move mouse to over any component in your wordpress post, you will find you can get all HTML code and CSS Class / ID of any element in your wordpress page.

For example,in our home page of wordpress tooltip plugin site, there are a menu item “menu tooltips demo”, when you mouse hover the menu item, you will find a rotate tooltip window pop up, let’s try to disable tooltip effect on menu:

You can use CSS Class “menu-item” to disable tooltips effect for all menu items, or use CSS ID “menu-item-5454” to disable tooltip effect for this menu item “menus tooltip demo”, and keep tooltip effect displayed on other menu items yet 🙂

In our course, we just want to disable tooltip effect on the menu item “menus tooltip demo”, so we can use use CSS ID “menu-item-5454” to stop tooltip effect on this menu item by this way:

5.4 open wordpress tooltip optional settings panel, and in the option: “Disable Tooltips for Selected Classes and IDs”, enter the CSS ID #menu-item-5454 in the input box, it looks like this:

Why We Develop the 13.5.6 of WordPress Tooltip Plugin?

What is WordPress Tooltips Coder?

WordPress Tooltips Coder is a useful tool for help wordpress webmaster to customized css codes of wordpress tooltip glossary  With wordpress tooltip glossary plugin, we have made pretty glossary templates,  and users do not need have css knowledge, users can use our tooltips style custom pretty tooltips template just via a few clicks in  1 minute! 🙂

Why We Release WordPress Tooltips Glossary Plugin 13.5.4?

We got an amazing user’s ticket, in which he told us:
Hi,
I am trying to use the Tooltips Coder to add a before modifier to the tooltip title as I need all the tooltips to have Glossary written at
the top. However when I add my code .qtip .qtip-titlebar .qtip-title:before { content: ‘GLOSSARY’ } it is escaping the single quotes – meaning it is invalid when it is rendered on the page. Is there anyway to allow this?

Our developer checked into the problem and analyzed our codes, we found it is because our wordpress tooltips plugin followed wordpress security standard to use sanitize functions to check all use submitted content to  protect wordpress and mysql, that why his ‘GLOSSARY’ looks like \’GLOSSARY\’, we have re-developed wordpress tooltips to solve this problem 🙂
Please upgrade your wordpress tooltips version to wordpress tooltips glossary 13.5.4 asap you can  🙂

A user asked us a question:
I DON’T want to underline, color or do anything to the text that has the tool tip. It will only be known that there is a tool tip if because the user knows to hover over the text. I don’t know how to explain it another way.

I want to make popup notes to text but don’t want to underline the text to show that there is a popup. Is it possible to have a tool tip and keep the text clean without any hints that there is a tool tip?

We have released wordpress tooltip glossary plugin 13.5.2, in tooltips style panel, you can custom wordpress tooltip style, and you will find the option box: ” Tooltips Underline Style” it looks like this:

In ” Tooltips Underline Style” option box, there are 5 methods:

1 Dotted

2 Double line

3 Solid

4 Dashed

5 Hide

if you select “Hide” as wordpress tooltip underline style, wordpress tooltip plugin will not add any underline on tooltip terms in front end 🙂
