1: Download and install wordpress tooltip multi-site license version with advanced woocomemrce addon

2: Login your wordpress site admin area

3: Click “Tooltips” menu item

4: Click “Addons” sub menu item, you will open “Tooltips Addon Settings” panel, it looks like this:

5: In “Enable / Disable Tooltips for WooCommerce Products” panel, please select “Enable Tooltips for WooCommerce” and click “Update Now” button

6: Click tooltips menu again

7: Click “woo tooltips” sub menu item, it looks like this:

7: Then you will open “Advanced WooCommerce Tooltips Addon Settings” panel, it looks like this:

 

8: Please enable “Tooltips for WooCommerce Product Attribute”, and please disable “Tooltips for WooCommerce Product Attribute” option, then based on your needs,  please enable or disable other woocommerce tooltip options, for example, you can disable woocommerce tooltip for woocommerce product short description, or enable woocommerce tooltip for woocommerce product title… and so on 🙂

That’s all, basically, what you need is just click mouse to enable / disable woocommerce tooltip addons and options, when you can add or remove tooltip effects on each woocommerce section 🙂

Hi,  WordPress Tooltip users, hope this message find you are doing well and having happy days with your family, we just released wordpress tooltip plugin 14.6.0, based on wordpress tooltip user’s request, we added a new option to allow wordpress tooltip admin to disable or enable wordpress tooltip term click statistics 🙂

How to View WordPress Tooltip Term Click Statistics?

May be you know, wordpress tooltip plugin support tooltip term click statistics, the tooltip click report will tell you how many clicks there are for each tooltip term, wordpress tooltip click report looks like this:

How to open wordpress tooltip click report? It is very easy, please:

1: Login wordpress admin area

2: Click “Tooltips” menu item

3: Click “All Tooltips” sub menu item

Then you will open the all “Tooltips” panel, in the panel, you will find “Hits” column, when users mouse hover a tooltip term in front end, we will use tooltip AJAX function to add click count in the tooltip hits column, by this way, you will know which tooltips are getting the most attention from users and which tooltips are going unnoticed. 🙂

An amazing tooltip user told us, he want to disable WordPress tooltip term clickstatistics? That’s why we developed a new wordpress tooltip plugin version 14.6.0, in wordpress tooltip 14.6.0, we added a new option: “Enable or Disable WordPress Tooltip Term Click Statistics” in the “Tooltip Global Settings” panel, it looks like this:

1: Login wordpress admin area

2: Click “Tooltips” menu item

3: Click “Global Settings” sub menu item

4: You will open Tooltips Global Settings panel, and you will find “Enable or Disable WordPress Tooltip Term Click Statistics” option, if you disable the option “Enable or Disable WordPress Tooltip Term Click Statistics”, in front end of wordpress pages, we will not load tooltip term click statistics AJAX function, and this is default action, if you want to check the WordPress tooltip term click statistics, just enable, then you will get the update of wordpress tooltip hit report in all tooltips panel 🙂

How to Add Tooltip Effect on WordPress Widget Text? WordPress Tooltip 14.5.8

How to Add WordPress Tooltip Effect on WordPress Widget Text?

An amazing wordpress tooltip user sent a few ticket to us, because he hope wordpress tooltip can works in the wordpress widget too:

I’m trying to figure out why your devs cannot edit the page in question but I now think it could just be a documentation (i.e. user expectation) problem. The problem (as I saw it) was that the tooltips plugin didn’t  work with sidebar content. I was able to reproduce this “problem” by doing the following:
1. created a custom sidebar via theme options (e.g.> > tooltips-test-sbar)

2. added an Anywhere Elementor template that included the target tooltip text to the custom sidebar using a custom HTML widget

3. added a text widget to the sidebar that included the target tooltip text to check if the “problem” was specific to using an Anywhere Elementor template

4. added the custom sidebar to a page containing the target tooltip text (multiple times)

The result is that the page content works perfectly with the plugin. The target text is recognised and tagged as expected, which is what your devs observed. But, the same target text in the sidebar (in an html or text widget) is not recognised by your plugin.

and

 you will see a single page with some text on the page showing the tooltip plugin works perfectly on page content. However, if you scroll to the bottom of the page you will see text containing the two tooltip words that was inserted into the footer using standard WordPress widgets (available  via the WP admin dashboard > Appearance > Widgets. These widgets can be placed in many page/post areas depending on what is provided by the theme.

Our developer followed user’s description to test on wordpress widget, yes, our wordpress tooltip did not support display tooltip in wordpress widget, this is the first time we get this feature request, our developer worked hard to develop a new wordpress tooltip version to support tooltips for wordpress widget 🙂

With WordPress tooltip glossary plugin 14.5.8, you can add tooltip effect on wordpress widget texts every easy:

1: Please login in your wordpress site admin

2: Click “Tooltips” menu item

3: Click “Optional Settings” sub menu item

4: You will open the “Tooltips Optional Settings” panel, it looks like this:

5: In the screenshot, you can find there are option “Tooltips For WordPress Widget”, you can enable / disable tooltips for wordpress widget in here

6: Please remember to click “Update Now” blue button 🙂

7: In the front end of your wordpress pages, you will find tooltips effect has been added for texts in wordpress widget 🙂

Also in the new version of wordpress tooltips plugin, we fixed a type in tooltip style panel,  the “Tooltip Box Postion”  should be “Tooltip Box Position” 🙂

How to Set a Custom Excerpt in WordPress Tooltip Plugin?

We get a wordpress tooltip user’s ticket:

I am trying out your tooltips plugin and have a question regarding custom excerpts.

How do I set a custom excerpt in tooltips? I do not see the field in the tooltips post admin for setting a custom excerpt.

I can see how to set the option to display excerpts in the on the archive page but this generates the excerpt from character count. I want to be able to use my own custom excerpts.

Also, is it possible to then have the custom excerpt show on the front end on the tooltip rather than the entire content of the tooltip post?

So in the wordpress tooltip glossary plugin 14.5.4, you can use custom tooltip excerpt in glossary:

1: Please login in your wordpress admin

2: Click “Tooltips” menu item

3: Click “Add New” sub menu item

4: You will find you can custom tooltip excerpt, it looks like this:

7: In the option “Glossary Excerpt or Full Content” in glossary settings panel, please select “use glossary excerpt in glossary pages”

8: Click the blue “Save Changes” button

9: Then in the wordpress glossary page in the front end, you will find in the glossary content column, wordpress glossary plugin will display the custom excerpt of the tooltip term for users

Also we get another amazing user’s feedback, in which he said in “Fade Speed of Tooltip Opacity” option in the tooltip style panel, he hope can enter 0 as the value of “Fade Speed of Tooltip Opacity” option,  we fixed it in this wordpress tooltip plugin version too,  it looks like this:

How to Add WordPress Tooltip Effect on Special Characters?

How do I make tooltips work for special characters. For instance I want a tooltip for Here’s

Okay, How to Add WordPress Tooltip Effect on Special Characters?

In some wordpress themes, theme codes will change a few special characters, for example a few themes will convert the symbol “‘” to the html code “’”, in codes of wordpress tooltip plugin, our function do stored the symbol “‘” in tooltip term “Here’s“, but this kind of wordpress theme will not display the symbol “‘” in “Here’s“, actually they will convert the symbol “‘” to the html code ’, so in the front end, we found the real word displayed in the wordpress page is “Here’s” , because all content in front end is decided  by codes in the wordpress theme, if the theme do not display tooltip term correctly, tooltip plugin have no chance to detect correctly tooltip terms and add tooltip effects on tooltip terms, we used a lot of time to analyze it, and we found if you just replace it like this method:

Replace it special characters with HTML codes, please change tooltip title from:

“Here’s my prayer for you” to

to

“Here’s my prayer for you”

Then it will works well in this kind of wordpress theme, you can find all HTML codes at: https://ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm

WordPress Tooltip Plugin 14.5.0 — Customize the Speed of the Fading Effect of Tooltip Opacity

Hey Users of WordPress Tooltip Plugin! Hope this message find you are doing well and having happy days with your family, our developer just finished a new WordPress Tooltip plugin version 14.5.0, in which we added a new option to allow admins to customize the speed of the fading effect of wordpress tooltip opacity 🙂

We got an amazing wordpress tooltip user’s ticket, in which he told us:

every tooltip when showing it use function Jquery function fadeTo, so it has fade-in effect. I want show tooltips instantly, so opacity 0 to 1, no fading

We was miss-understand the user’s feature request, after checked his site, we found what he meant is, when tooltip users mouse hover an tooltip keyword in his wordpress posts, the tooltip pop-up box will display a opacity effect in about 200ms, he don’t like it, he hope he can display the tooltip content box instantly 🙂

Because this feature is requested by a few others wordpress tooltip users in many years before, we think remove the effect is not a good choice, so our developer decide to add a new option in wordpress tooltip style settings panel, to allow wordpress tooltip admins custom the speed value of tooltip opacity, that’s why we developed wordpress tooltip plugin 14.5.0, after upgrade to the wordpress tooltip plugin 14.5.0, in wordpress tooltip style settings panel, it looks like this:

You will find at the bottom of the wordpress tooltip style settings panel, there are new option “Fade Speed of Tooltip Opacity”, in which you can enter the value of speed of the tooltip opacity effect, for example, 200, or 0, or even 2000… and so on 🙂

WordPress Tooltips Plugin, Improved Compatibility of WordPress Glosary with WordPress Themes

Hi Dear WordPress Tooltip Plugin Users, hope this message find you are doing well and having happy weekend with your family, we are happy to report you, we just developed a new WordPress Tooltips Plugin version 14.4.4, to improve the compatibility of wordpress glossary with a few wordpress advanced themes 🙂

Details of new changes in the WordPress Tooltip plugin 14.4.6

We got a feedback from a wordpress tooltip user, he said he really like our wordpress glossary feature, he used wordpress glossary to make his 3D printing terminology explanation, but he found that in his wordpress glossary’s navigation bar, there was an underline under each character, he didn’t feel comfortable, but when he checked our wordpress glossary demo, he found that in our wordpress glossary demo page, our wordpress glossary demo page have no this problem, he couldn’t understand what was going on, so he asked for our help 🙂

We did a check, it is strange, after checked his wordpress theme carefully, we found in his wordpress theme, there are a few CSS codes added text-decoration for each links in his wordpress site, that’s why there are many underline under letters in wordpress glossary navigation bar, we have developed a new version to fix this problem, in wordpress glossary 14.4.6, we will remove text-decoration of links for letters in glossary navigation bar, then glossary page will keep simple and generous 🙂

Also we fixed an conflicts issue in the function “hide count number of glossary items”.  🙂

WordPress Tooltip Plugin 14.4.4 — New Option to Display / Hide Count Numbers for Glossary Letters in Glossary Navigation

A tooltip user has made a feature request for wordpress tooltip plugin:

On the navigation bar of Glossary, is it possible to not show the number of each letter

Our developer said this was a good improvement, and he developed a new version to implement this feature on purpose, please upgrade to the newest version of wordpress glossary plugin: 14.4.4, then please:

1 login admin areaa

2 click tooltips menu

3 click glossary settings sub menu item

4 then you will open wordpress glossary settings panel, it looks like this:

At the bottom of the wordpress glossary setting panel, you will find new glossary option “Hide count number of glossary items”, if you select the option “Yes”, and click “Save Changes” blue button,  then in the front end, we will not display count number of glossary letters , if you select “No” (this is default value), in font end , we will show count number on each glossary letters, it looks like this:

Also you can opt to hide letters which did not have any item yet by the wordpress glossary option “Hide Nav letters have no item”, by this way, you can show your wordpress glossary readers a clean and simple style, which is perhaps the way some user groups prefer to read 🙂

WordPress Tooltip Plugin 14.4.2 — Support Custom Font Style for WordPress Tooltip Content

Hello, WordPress tooltip plugin users, hope this message find you are doing well and having happy days with your family 🙂  We just finished WordPress Tooltips Plugin 14.4.2, based on user’s feedback, we support wordpress tooltip font style.  🙂

Changes in WordPress tooltip 14.4.2 — Support Custom Font Style for WordPress Tooltip Content

A user wrote to us, he said he upgraded to wordpress tooltip pro plugin 14.3 a few days before, then he was surprised to find that he could customize the font style of the keywords of wordpresss tooltip plugin, this is exactly the feature he always wanted, because in wordperss tooltip editor, he couldn’t customize the font style of wordprss tooltip’s term, he always wanted to customize it manually to italic style to differentiate it from other normal wordpress post content! 🙂

He said that since we already support customizing the font style of wordprss tooltip’s term, why not further support customizing the font style of wordprss tooltip’s post content? So users can save time to do it again for each wordpress tooltip item, he hope change font style for wordpress tooltip term and wordpress tooltip content automatically, so he do not need to change wordpress tooltip font style one by one manually 🙂

Yes, great! The reason is we did not know there are users change font style for each wordpress tooltip post one by one manually, if we know, we should added this function for users already! 🙂

Once understand this feature request, our developer start to develop a new version to allow wordpress tooltip editor to change font color in wordpress tooltip style settings panel — by one click, that’s why wordpress tooltip plugin 14.4.2 be released today 🙂

Once you upgraded to the wordpress tooltip plugin 14.4.2, please click tooltips menu item, and then click tooltips style sub  menu item, then in the tooltip customize panel, you will find new option “Tooltip Content Font Style”, you will also want this setting to have three options: italic, normal  , oblique.

The new option “Tooltip Content Font Style” looks like this:

After set up wordpress tooltip content font style, please remember click the blue “Save Changes” button 🙂

Then our developer decide custom a new default customized wordpress tooltip template for new users — when wordpress tooltip user selected customized template, by default, it is green background, and white font color, with a shadow. So users will need to custom their own wordpress tooltip style via a few clicks in the color picker and so on in the tooltip custom style panel, the old default wordpress tooltip template looks like this:
