How to Display Tooltip Category Link in Glossary Bread Crumbs?

1: Login wordpress tooltip plugin site and download tooltips pro plus which version >=22.7.8

2: Login dashboard of your wordpress site  and upload new version of wordpress tooltip plugin

3: Click tooltips menu item and then click glossary settings sub menu item, in the version wordpress tooltips pro plugin 22.7.8, it looks like this:

4: As you can see, at the bottom of the wordpress glossary settings panel, there are a new option “Display Tooltip Category Link in Glossary Bread Crumbs”, if you enable this option, then in the front-end, you will find the breadcrumbs looks like this Glossary link > glossary category link  > glossary term .

Please note, if the glossary did not be assigned in a tooltip category, then wordpress tooltip plugin will not try to display the glossary category in breadcrumbs.

If you do not want to display glossary category in glossary bread crumbs, then just select no in the option “Display Tooltip Category Link in Glossary Bread Crumbs” in glossary settings panel

Also for help users use function of glossary bread crumbs easier, we have moved another bread crumbs option at the bottom of the glossary settings panel too, so you can manage glossary bread crumbs in here quickly 🙂

please use shortcode: “postdirectory limit=30” — this will list 30 posts in post directory.

Actually we have realized function of categorized by category ID or categorized by category Name, we have a detailed document at How to only list posts of specified category in post directory?

AI Tooltip, how to avoid “ToolTip won’t generate AI response from OpenAI”?

Hi, Dear users of  wordpress tooltip ,  hope this message find you are doing well and having happy days with your family   An amazing wordpress tooltip user submit a ticket in wordpress tooltip support forum, he said:

I added my OpenAI API key to ToolTips, but every time I try to create an AI post with a simple prompt that works in ChatGPT, ToolTips responds with: “We cannot get response from OpenAI”.

My OpenAI account shows zero usage, as if ToolTips has no integration with OpenAI. I tried a new API key, same problem. Does anyone else have this issue?

After received the ticket, to prevent any potential unexpected situations and accurately reproduce possible issues,  we installed a new wordpress site and installed wordpress tooltips pro plus plugin 22.3.8,  then we got a new OpenAI account to check are there any problem, after a few times test,  we found all things works well always. We create a few screenshots:

1: In some cases, OpenAI may restrict access to its API, which could be due to abnormal behavior with your API key or excessive request frequency.

2: It is also possible that your host IP has been blocked by OpenAI, this may because another site using the same IP and when their engage in behavior that violates OpenAI’s API usage policies, is unwanted, or malicious, resulting in your IP address being listed on a blacklist by OpenAI

3: Some countries maybe block OpenAI URLs

In this case, you will need to contact OpenAI’s support team to resolve the issue 🙂

4: The API key is not correctly

2: login your wordpress site as admin in backend,  then upload tooltip zip file and activate wordpress tooltip plugin in your wordpress plugin panel .

3: in wordpress dashboard, click tooltips menu and then click glossary sub-menu item, at the bottom of the glossary settings panel, you will find the new option “Custom padding for all letters in navigation bar”, it looks like this:

at the bottom of the glossary settings panel, you will find the “Custom padding for all letters in navigation bar” option, please just enter the padding, for example “1” or “0.001”….etc, you can modify padding from each letter in wordpress glossary navigation bar, and this will help you control the length of the wordpress glossary navigation bar

Hi dear WordPress tooltip users, hope this message find you are doing well and have happy days with your family:) We got a feature request from an amazing wordpress glossary user, he told us he love wordpress glossary plugin, he used it in medical writing to define medical terms and jargon, making it easier for patients and non-medical professionals to understand, it is a great help for patients and non-medical professionals is that it can help them understand complex medical terms and jargon that may be used by healthcare professionals. WordPress glossary helped to improve communication between patients and healthcare providers, as well as help patients to better understand their medical conditions, treatments, and medications. The only problem is that his medical site uses a wordpress theme with a narrow width, because he wants to keep a simple and compact site structure, and he wants the glossary NAVIGATION BAR to be displayed in one line.

Okay, we understand having access to a medical glossary can empower patients to take a more active role in their healthcare and make more informed decisions about their health. and when we developing wordpress glossary plugin we make many default glossary template, we was think the larger and looser the glossary navigation bar , the easier it is for users to read and navigate / click, by default, when you insert a [glossary] shortcode to display a glossary page, it looks like this:
