WordPress Tooltips Pro Plugin 15.5.0, Support Elementor Tooltip Keyword Matching Mode for Elementor Better

Hi, good evening, dear  WordPress Tooltip Plugin users,  I hope this message find you are doing well and having happy weekend with your family 🙂

We get an amazing wordpress tooltip user’s feedback, he said he found in the wordpress tooltips global settings panel,  after setup the option “Keyword Matching Mode” as “Add tooltips to the first matching keyword in the same page”, in his site there are still found a few same tooltip terms have the tooltip effects:

The issue is related to this: How to Only Add WordPress Tooltip to the First Matching Keyword in the Same WordPress Post? but in my case for instance on my page, look at the word “tooltip term”. It’s repeated all the way down to the bottom, yet in global settings, I have “first matching keyword” selected under keyword matching mode.

This appears to be site-wide. It appears that the “Add tooltips to the first matching keyword in the same page” option isn’t working.

We did a check on his site, we found the amazing user is using the amazing elementor page builder, and his elementor pages is based on elementor widgets, actually in his pages, full of  elementor widgets, our old design is support wordpress tooltip matching keyword for each wordpress content, wordpress menu… and so on, in general, in a wordpress page, there are only one wordpress content area, that’s why all things works well in recent years and we never get any report of wordpress tooltip matching keyword, it is the first time we found all pages is building via widgets, our wordpress tooltip developer re-developed our wordpress tooltip plugin, now no matter which kind of option be selected, for example “Add tooltips to all matching keyword in the same page” option, “Add tooltips to the first matching keyword in the same page”  option, “Add tooltips to the first N matching keyword in the same page” option, all tings works well, no matter you are using elementor widgets or wordpress content template to build your wordpress pages, all things works well too 🙂

That’s why we released the new version of wordpress tooltips pro plugin 15.5.0, thanks for the great feedback, that enhanced function of elementor tooltip and helped all wordpress tooltips users a lot! 🙂

WordPress Tooltip Glossary 14.0.6 Released, Support wordpress glossary categories filter better, support wordpress tooltip excerpt better for some custimized advance wordpress themes

We have released wordpress tooltip glossary 14.0.6, in this version, we improved a glossary feature:
1: Support glossary categories filter better: A few months before, we got a ticket from a user, he said the glossary category selector is not works well on his advanced theme, we did a check and we developed a version to let glossary categories filter support his theme, this week we got another user’s report, for solve this kind of problem, we developed the current wordpress glossary plugin version to detect glossary URLs and now glossary categories filter can works for all these theme automatically 🙂
2: In the feedback submitted by wordpress tooltip users, we found that some wordpress themes do not provide the summary function, in this case, when the user selects the “Support Select Glossary Category in Glossary Archives Page ?” option, in the glossary table, the glossary content column on the right will not show the summary content of the glossary term, because these themes do not support the wordpress post excerpt function, so the wordpress glossary content column will be displayed as an empty column. Based on this kind of problem, we developed the new wordpress glossary version to generate wordpress post excerpt by our wordpress glossary plugin, so no matter the theme support wordpress post excerpt function or not, we will always show glossary content for the glossary terms 🙂

WordPress Tooltips Glossary Plugin 12.4.8 Released

Hope this message find you are doing well and having happy weekend with your family! 🙂

In wordpress tooltip plugin 12.4.2, based on user’s suggestion, we re-developed glossary plugin UI, when users click the words in wordpress glossary page, the page will now scroll up to the head, users will not need to scroll down again, but the user’s told us that’s it not enough, in wordpress tooltip plugin 12.4.2, yes, when users click the words in navigation bar, the page will not scroll up to the head, but it is a little scroll up to the words, the words should just stay in place, users should no need to scroll up a little to find other words, yes, this is valuable feedback, we just released wordpress tooltip glossary plugin 12.4.8, in this version, we improved glossary navigation bar, when users click any letter in glossary navigation bar, the page will not scroll down or scroll up, the page will stay in place. Also we improved glossary templates. 🙂

How to add WordPress Tooltips in the menu?

WordPress Tooltip can add tooltip effects on wordpress menu items automatically.

WordPress tooltip plugin will scan all wordpress menu items automatically, once find wordpress menu title have tooltip terms, wordpress tooltip plugin will add tooltip effect on menu title, please check our video at below:

How to add WordPress Tooltips in the menu?

1. Login wordpress admin area.

2. Click “Tooltips” menu item, then click “Add New” sub menu item to add a new tootips, just input the your tooltips title and content in wordpress tooltip editor, you can input text, video, image, QR Code, google map or any HTML code…and so on in content area. You can design many marvelous WordPress Tooltips for your wordpress menu item in here, it looks like this:

3: Design your menu tooltip style

We have a few methods to help you design your menu tooltip style:

You can customize your tooltips Box Width, Font Color, Tooltip Box Postion, opacity, background color … and so on in the “Tooltip Box Customize Setting” meta box — you can find “Tooltip Box Customize Setting” meta box at the bottom of the wordperss tooltip editor.

b) A faster method is just select one of default tooltips themes, please click “Tooltips” menu item, and then click “Tooltips Style” sub menu item, you will find 7 different color theme in “Tooltip Box Style” area, please select the theme your like, then Click the Button “Update Now”, it looks like this:

c) Also in “Tooltips Style”, you can customize your global tooltip style too, just selecting “Customized” in “Tooltip Box Style” area, and then Click the Button “Update Now”, then you select marvelous options in “Tooltip Box Customize Setting” panel, you can change background color, font color, border color, border color … , via colorpicker, or change border width, opacity, tooltip title font size, tooltip box position…. and so on.

4. Add your menu item

WordPress tooltip plugin will scan each wordpress menu item, once tooltip plugin find a tooltip term in the title of a menu item, wordpress tooltip plugin will add tooltip effect on the tooltip term which be found in menu titles automatically.

If you did not add a menu item yet, you can do it by this way:

Please click wordpress “appearance” menu item, then click “menus” sub menu item, select your page or posts that you want to add in the menu, click the button “add to menu”, then click the button “save menu”

5. You can see the menu tooltip in the menu like this:

Also we received another ticket which asked us how to add a tooltip into menu item, and when users click the URL of the menu item, they will not be redirected to the page which menu item linked too 🙂

Although it seems a little strange, because in general, the function of menu item is redirect users to a page, that’s how menu works, ?but of course if you really want to add a menu item with tooltip effect, and do not allow users redirect to other pages, yes, we can, please check our video at below:

As you can see, actually this is not related with tooltip functions, when you make a menu item via “Add menu items” panel, please just select “Custom Links”, and then in the “URL” field, just enter “#”, no anything more, just a # ,then add your tooltip term in “Link Text” field, in front end, you will find the menu tooltip, and when you click the menu, users will stay the same page, a sample screenshot can be found at below:

Image Tooltips, Solved Problem of Image Dislocation

Image tooltips was have a problem of image dislocation, when you have a large size image in tooltip content, sometimes, when your mouse hover the wordpress tooltip, and if your tooltip have a large size image which load slowly, then maybe there are a little image dislocation, it is hard to find the problem of image tooltip in local development platform, but some amazing users told us the problem and we tried many times to re-play the error and find the reason, now in our image tooltips demo,you can find we have no this kind of problem now, no matter how large a image in image tooltip, we will always show it smoothly and no any image dislocation. 🙂

* Each wordpress tooltip will have their own unique tooltips style:
By default, all tooltips have same style which generated by your global customized tooltips style in “Tooltips Style Settings” panel, but you can have unique customized tooltips style for each tooltips, in tooltips editor, when you add new tooltips or edit existed tooltips, at the bottom of the tooltips editor, you will find a new metabox which allow users custom your unique for this tooltips, for example, “Tooltip Box Background”,”Tooltip Box Width”, “Tooltip Font Color”,”Tooltip Text Align”, “Tooltip Box Padding:”, “Tooltip Class Name”, “Tooltip Border Radius”, “Border Width”, “Tooltip Border Color”, “Tooltips Border Bottom”, “Tooltip Underline Color”, “Tooltips Shadow”, “Tooltip Font Size”, “Tooltips Line Height”, “Tooltip Term Color”, “Tooltips Popup Animation”, “Title Background Color”, “Tooltip Title Font Size”, “Title Font Color”, “Close Button Background”,
“Close Button Radius”, “Close Button Font Color”… and so on, by this way, each tooltips will have different style and you can build a colorful and varied and graceful tooltips site.

* New option to setting Tooltip z-index Value, in tooltips global settings panel, you will find a new range slider to setting z-index Value:
Some plugins or themes have a very high z-index value, it caused the tooltip hidden behind their flyout, you can increase tooltips z-index to solve this kind of problem.

* New optionto setting tooltip Hook Priority Value,in tooltips global settings panel, you will find a new range slider to setting tooltip Hook Priority Value:
If you want tooltips can support functionality of other wordpress plugins better, and show content which generated by other plugins in tooltips popup window, you need let other plugins(which followed WP the_content API) run first. You can try to change tooltip hook priority in here, heigher value means lower tooltip hook priority and that means let more WP plugins run first, if there are any plugin conflicts, you can just try to change tooltip hook priority lower or higher, then check result in the front end.

* Avoid conflict with another tooltip plugin

* Fixed conflcits with Gravity Forms

* Improved [tooltips] shortcode

* Improved [tooltip_by_id] shortcode

* Fixed the how to use shortcode tips in shortcodes

* Improved tooltips js code, robustness

* Fixed tooltip javascript conflic with other 3rd plugin

* Improved tooltips for menu to support more themes

* Based on users’ request, can add tooltips effect on tooltips term in glossary too

* Speed up page load, move all tooltips javascript function to the footer

I just released wordpress tooltip plugin 7.5.0, in this version, based on users’ requests, I have added many features, hope you will like it 🙂

There are 36 New Changes:
* New wordpress tooltip shortcode [tooltip_by_id], you can get tooltip by id like this:
[tooltip_by_id tooltip_id='222'], ‘222’ is tooltip id, you can find tooltip id at all tooltips panel — http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tooltips, when you mouse hover the link edit under each tooltip post, you will find links like this:
http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=222&action=edit, the 222 is your tooltip id

* Added New wordpress tooltip option in backend, you can disable tooltips effect in html tags, like h1, h2…, a… and so on.
Note: support h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6,a… and more, but because there are too many html tags, we can not promise support all of them, so other html tags may or may not works, you can test by yourself, just enter tags you want, and split with comma “,” 🙂

* Expand function of wordpress glossary shortcode: [glossary], now users can use [glossary catid='1,2,3'] to only show tooltips of specified tooltips categories in glossary page, by category id.

* Expand function of wordpress glossary shortcode: [glossary], you can use use [glossary catname='classmate,family,school'] to only show tooltips of specified categories
in glossary page, by category name.

* Added “How To Use WordPress Tooltips” Panel in admin area, you can click “How To” menu item to
learn how to use wordpress tooltip plugin document, we have added detailed video and text tips in here, and we are still add new how to tips for this menu item.

* Webmaster can decide wordpress glossary searchable or not, if you disable glossary searchable, it means glossary terms / tooltip terms will not shown in wordpress standard search result.
If you enable glossary searchable,it means glossary terms / tooltip terms will shown in wordpress standard search result.
By default, we enabled glossary searchable

* Improved wordpress tooltip responsive on mobile service
* In backend, added new wordpress tooltip option to enable close button in tooltip box, when you enable this option, we will show a close button for tooltips, it is suggested to enabled this option for support iphone service better.
* In backend, added wordpress tooltip option “Close Button Background”, you can setting close button Background color from color picker
* In backend, added wordpress tooltip option “Close Button Font Color”, you can setting close button Font color from color picker

* In wordpress tooltip style setting panel, tweak order of ‘Tooltip Box Postion’ to help users move faster based on most popular option on users’ side
* In wordpress tooltip style setting panel, tweak order of ‘Tooltip hides when’ to help users move faster based on most popular option on users’ side

* Re-designed wordpress tooltip plugin’s default / suggested tooltips style options, to make default customized tooltips style more pretty, so users do not need waste a lot of time to design / test tooltips style, the default settings is pretty and can be used directly.

* Improved wordpress tooltip shortcode [tooltips], you can enable advance tooltips shortcode in post editor,
then our advance tooltips shortcode will support multimedia content, for example, image / audio / video… and so on in tooltips shorcode.

* Realized user requested feature: “use image as tooltip for another image”, you can add an image as tooltips on another image

* In wordpress glossary setting panel, in the current time, we have supported 7 languages( Swedish / English / German / French / Finnish Spanish / Russian ), since this new version, you can custom your language / generate your language for glossary in custom language panel
* In custom language panel, You can use language alphabet generator to generate your language alphabet,
or just custom your own alphabet based on your application scenarios, our glossary will use your customized alphabet on glossary navigation bar
* In custom language panel, you can generate numbers based on your language or application scenarios
* In custom language panel, you can translate the word “ALL” to your language or words for your application scenarios, we will use your customized words replace the “ALL” on the glossary navigation bar
* In Glossary Settings Panel, in “Language” option, you can find a new item “Custom My Language”, once you selected it, you can use your own customized language.
Also for help you custom your language more faster, we added a link “enable custom language” after “Language” option.

* In “Import Tooltips” panel, added solutions of how to import image, how to avoid comma conflict, how to… and so on
* In sample.csv in the folder “tooltips-pro”, added more import solutions, for example image, comma… and so on

* Improved UI of tooltips for tooltip admin field in back end
* Improved UI of updated message for tooltip panels in back end

* Integrated wordpress tooltips plugin with ACF plugin
* In back end, you can enable / disable wordpress tooltips for ACF(Advanced Custom Fields) plugin
* In front end, our wordpress tooltip plugin will scan value of your custom field in the post,
if in the vaule of your ACF fields include a tooltip term, we will add tooltips effect for tooltip terms in your ACF custom fields automatically

* Added detailed tips of which kind of post types will be supported tooltips automatically

* Added wordpress tooltip plugin change logs link at new version update notify bar
