How to Display Tooltip Category Link in Glossary Bread Crumbs?

1: Login wordpress tooltip plugin site and download tooltips pro plus which version >=22.7.8

2: Login dashboard of your wordpress site  and upload new version of wordpress tooltip plugin

3: Click tooltips menu item and then click glossary settings sub menu item, in the version wordpress tooltips pro plugin 22.7.8, it looks like this:

4: As you can see, at the bottom of the wordpress glossary settings panel, there are a new option “Display Tooltip Category Link in Glossary Bread Crumbs”, if you enable this option, then in the front-end, you will find the breadcrumbs looks like this Glossary link > glossary category link  > glossary term .

Please note, if the glossary did not be assigned in a tooltip category, then wordpress tooltip plugin will not try to display the glossary category in breadcrumbs.

If you do not want to display glossary category in glossary bread crumbs, then just select no in the option “Display Tooltip Category Link in Glossary Bread Crumbs” in glossary settings panel

1: News Aggregator: Create a directory to display latest news articles from various sources.

And some users have provided valuable feedback:

1: One possible parameter for the “postdirectory” shortcode could be “limit”, which can be used to restrict the number of post displyes in the post directory. By setting a specific limit, it ensure that not all posts are listed, preventing excessive load time on the page.

In this version we support it by this way:

please use shortcode: “postdirectory limit=30” — this will list 30 posts in post directory.

2: As a blog directory, they need  — showcase popular blogs, categorized by niche or topic.

Actually we have realized function of categorized by category ID or categorized by category Name, we have a detailed document at How to only list posts of specified category in post directory?

Our issue is that we have listed these reference documents, but we haven’t included the explanations of these features in our plugin’s control panel. 3: in wordpress dashboard, click tooltips menu and then click glossary sub-menu item, at the bottom of the glossary settings panel, you will find the new option “Custom Margin for all letters in navigation bar”, just follow our tips in the Custom Margin for all letters in navigation bar option to enter the margin, for example “1” or “0.001”….etc, you can remove margin from each letter in wordpress glossary navigation bar, and this will help you control the length of the wordpress glossary navigation bar 🙂

How to add tooltip effect on feature image of wordpress post?

Hi dear WordPress tooltip users, hope this message find you are doing well and have happy days with your family:) We get a wordpress tooltip ticket from an amazing user, he asked us a qustion:

In addition, for the client’s post listing page, we just show the  featured images with a “read more” button underneath it. The client  would like a way for a description to popup when a user hovers over  the featured image and I was wondering whether Tooltip Pro can go  that. I watched your video, which shows an image being added to the  post, but does the same work for featured images?

But it is the first time, we heard a user want to add tooltip effect on wordpress feature image, we did a check, in the current time, you can do it by this way:

1: login wordpress dashboard and click tooltips menu item, it looks like this:

2: and then you will find wordpress global settings panel tooltip, click it to open tooltips global settings panel, the “tooltips global settings panel” looks like this:

3: you will find there are option ” Enable Tooltips for Image? “, please enable it.

4: then  in the option ” Tooltips for Image setting”, please select “use alt attribute in image tag as content of tooltips for image”

5: then when you add a featured image in wordpress post, please add text in the ALT field of the featured image

Then in the front end, when mouse hover the featured image in wordpress post, you will find the tooltip text displayed in tooltip popup window

This function supported by wordpress tooltips pro and wordpress tooltips pro plugin, but wordpress tooltips pro plus support more image tooltip functions, support more tooltip functions for wordpress image gallery plugins 🙂

We will try to develop a new wordpress tooltip version to support tooltips for featured image, we are working hard to develop an advanced ACF tooltip addon, once finished it, we will develop the featured image tooltip soon 🙂
