What is WordPress Tooltips Coder?

WordPress Tooltips Coder is a useful tool for help wordpress webmaster to customized css codes of wordpress tooltip glossary  With wordpress tooltip glossary plugin, we have made pretty glossary templates,  and users do not need have css knowledge, users can use our tooltips style custom pretty tooltips template just via a few clicks in  1 minute! 🙂

But sometimes, as wordpress expert developer, they want to make some advanced effects with their wordpress blog, in old wordpress tooltip versions, we have a tooltips.css in the root folder of the wordpress tooltips plugin, in which we have tooltis css sample codes and developer can custom their own advanced css codes in the tooltips.css, but we got a wordpress tooltips expert coder’s ticket in which he told us, he make some pretty tooltip affects by himself, but every time after upgraded to the newest version of wordpress tooltip glossary plugin, he had to replace the tooltips.css with his own customized css codes again, he hope have ability to make customized css online and store it in mysql database, so he do not need always copy his pretty tooltips template manually 🙂

Why We Release WordPress Tooltips Glossary Plugin 13.5.4?

We got an amazing user’s ticket, in which he told us:
Hi,
I am trying to use the Tooltips Coder to add a before modifier to the tooltip title as I need all the tooltips to have Glossary written at
the top. However when I add my code .qtip .qtip-titlebar .qtip-title:before { content: ‘GLOSSARY’ } it is escaping the single quotes – meaning it is invalid when it is rendered on the page. Is there anyway to allow this?

Our developer checked into the problem and analyzed our codes, we found it is because our wordpress tooltips plugin followed wordpress security standard to use sanitize functions to check all use submitted content to  protect wordpress and mysql, that why his ‘GLOSSARY’ looks like \’GLOSSARY\’, we have re-developed wordpress tooltips to solve this problem 🙂
Please upgrade your wordpress tooltips version to wordpress tooltips glossary 13.5.4 asap you can  🙂

How to Custom Languages for Your WordPress Tooltips and WordPress Glossary

Hey Users of WordPress Tooltip Glossary,

We get a ticket about languge from an amazing user, we think may be there are more users have the similar question, we’d like reply in here publicly 🙂

With wordpress tooltip plugin, we have glossary page, also you can use our wordpress glossary shortcode to custom your own glossary language, in these wordpress glossary page,  we listed all glossary of terms, in general, tooltip authors will make glossary terms  with their own language, but wordpress tooltip glossary labels is generated by our wordpress glossary plugin, some users hope change these wordpress tooltip glossary labels with their own language too 🙂 In wordpress tooltip plugin, we support wordpress multiple languages, we have a tooltip glossary language addon, in which you can custom languages for your wordpress glossary a-z navigation words, glossary 1-9 navigation numbers, glossary bread crumbs, wordpress glossary category, or more words like “More Details” in wordpress tooltip pop-up box… and so on, these language changes will works well in all our wordpress glossary templates in our wordpress glossary plugin. 🙂

How to Custom Languages for Your WordPress Tooltips and WordPress Glossary?

1: If you didn’t installed wordpress tooltip, please login your account at wordpress glossary tooltip plugin site, if you have installed wordpress tooltip plugin, please jump to step #10 directly 🙂

2: Download wordpress glossary tooltip plugin at “My account” page

3: Login wordpress admin area

4: Click “Plugins” menu item

5: Deactivated old tooltips version

6: Delete the old wordpress tooltip plugin

7: In “Plugins” menu item, click add new at the top of the plugins panel

8: Upload the tooltips plugin zip file which you downloaded from wordpress glossary plugin site

9: Activate latest version of wordpress tooltip glossary plugin

10: Click “Tooltips” menu item

11: Click “Addons” sub menu item, you will open “WordPress Tooltip Addons” panel, it looks like this:

12: In “WordPress Tooltip Addons” panel, you will find “Enable/Disable Tooltips Language Customization Addon” Panel, please just select “Enable Tooltips Language Customization Addon”  option and click “Update Now” button to enable “Languages” addon, and please refresh the page.

13 Then you will find “Languages”  sub menu item under “Tooltips” menu item, please click “Languages” sub menu item

14 Now you will open “Custom Language of Tooltip and Glossary Panel”, it looks like this:

15 You can custom any words with your own language in here, please don’t forget to click “Submit” buttons 🙂

16 If you are  custom glossary languages, you need enable custom language in glossary settings panel, you can do it by this way:

17 Click “Glossary Settings” sub menu item under “Tooltips” menu item, you will open “Glossary Setitngs” panel,

18 In “Glossary Settings” panel, you will find our wordpress language selector: “Glossary Customize Language” options panel, it looks like this:

19 Please select “Custom My Language” optin in “Language” option box, and then click “Save Changes” blue button at the bottom of the glossary settings panel

20 In front end, in your wordpress glossary page, all words you customized in our wordpress language plugin will be changed as your own language

I am happy to report you, we just released WordPress Tooltips Glossary plugin multi-site license 13.4.4, in this version our wordpress tooltip multi-site license plugin start to support WikiPedia Tooltip 🙂

What is WikiPedia Tooltips?

We get many user’s ticket, they told us they want wikipedia tooltips, this is great feature request, our developer have re-developed our tooltips plugin to realize this amazing feature,  now you can just enter wiki title in tooltips editor, and in front end, when user mouse hover the wordpress tooltip term, they will see the content of tooltip from wikipedia term  in the tooltip popup box, it looks like this:

You can see when user mouse hover the tooltip term “Apple”, the content in tooltip box is come from WikiPedia , by this way, you can build your wordpress dictionary or wordpress glossary easily 🙂

How to Use WikiPedia Tooltips ?

It is very easy to use wikipedia tooltips:
1: Iin back end, if you check tooltips addons sub menu,  you will find we have added a new addon “WikiPedia Tooltip”, in “Support WikiPedia Tooltip” option box, you can enable /  disable wikipedia tooltips, it looks like this:

2: when you edit tooltips in tooltips editor, you will find metabox Wikipedia Title, just enter the wikipedia title, We will pull wikipedia content of this wikipedia title from wikipedia.org as tooltip, it looks like this:

Please just enter the wikipedia title in metabox, then we will use the wikipedia content as tooltip content for the current tooltip terms, if the term have no content in wikipedia, in the tooltip popup box, we will use your tooltips content in the tooltip editor.

We are happy to report you, we have released wordpress tooltip glossary plugin 13.2.0, in wordpress tooltip plugin 13.2.0,  our developer finished a new code audit, we improved tooltip shortcode robustness, after many tests, we found a php warning in log when running a social network plugin, if will not break the site or plugin, in front end, no any errors will be find by users, but we still tweak our codes to avoid this php warning in log when using a wordpress social network plugin 🙂

I am happy to report you, we just released wordpress tooltip glossary plugin 12.9.8, changes in this version:
1: We developed a license management module for wordpress tooltip plugin, this is just a start, we will continue add more features in the wordpress tooltip license module 🙂
2:  For MultiSite License Users, wordpress multisite license plugin star to support SVG icon tooltips, an amazing user told us, it is 2020s started in the world, we should support tooltips for SVG icons, SVG icons defined vector-based icons in XML format, it is super easy to edit all things for the SVG icons, for example,  color, animate… and so on, SVG Icons, is  a block of code, so the sizes of SVG icons is very small, he do not want to use PNG or JPEG icons on his site, he start use SVG and it improved his site and his life 🙂
Okay, the problem is wordpress do not support SVG, wordpress do not allow to upload SVG icons at all, we used a few days to learn the new tech in SVG area, now with wordpress tooltip multisite license plugin, you can upload SVG icons in wordpress and add tooltips for SVG Icons, a simple example of SVG tooltips can be find in below:

How to Use the WordPress Shortcode to Display a Glossary Category Separately in DIVI Theme?

Good evening! 🙂
I get a wordpress  tooltip ticket, in which a lovely user asked me a question:
can you tell me where we can find the shortcodes to display a glossary category separately? my site is optimized with DIVI.
Yes, wordpress tooltip pro plugin support display glossary terms from a specific glossary category, I guess may be other wordpress tooltip users have the same question, I’d like reply in here publicly, you will find, it is very easy  🙂

1: Login as wordpress admin  in wordpress wp-admin

2: Click “Posts” menu item

3: Edit your wordpress post with divi editor

4: When you want to insert a glossary shortcode to just display specified glossary terms from a glossary category, just use glossary shortcode like this:

[glossary catid='5'] to only show glossary terms from the tooltips categoriy 5 in glossary page, by the tooltip category id ‘5’ 🙂

5: Want to show glossary terms from more glossary categories? Easy, use wordpress glossary shortcode like this:

[glossary catid='5,10,12'] to show glossary temrs of specified glossary categories in wordpress tooltip category, by category id ‘5’, ’10’, ’12’

6: It is hard to remember glossary category id? Yes, of course, with wordpress tooltip glossary plugin, you can use category name, which is easy to be remembered, you can do it like this:

use [glossary catname='classmate,family,school'] to display glossary terms of specified categories ‘classmate’ ,’ family’ , ‘school’ in glossary page, by category name ‘classmate’ , ‘family’, ‘school’

7: That’s all, check front end, everything will works well
