How do I set a custom excerpt in tooltips? I do not see the field in the tooltips post admin for setting a custom excerpt.

I can see how to set the option to display excerpts in the on the archive page but this generates the excerpt from character count. I want to be able to use my own custom excerpts.

Also, is it possible to then have the custom excerpt show on the front end on the tooltip rather than the entire content of the tooltip post?

And the amazing wordpress tooltip user give us a glossary page URL 🙁

Hey Dear Users WordPress Tooltip users, hope this message find you are doing well and having happy weekend with your family, we just released wordpress tooltips free plugin 7.4.7, now you can opt to allow users click the glossary term name to go to that glossary term’s individual page 🙂

We get a amazing wordpress tooltip user’s ticket, in which she told us:

Hi, thanks for the quick response!
It says I’m on version 7.4.3, the issue is just that you can’t click the term name to go to that term’s individual page. You’ll see that “Harmonic Function” and “Tonic” have a continue reading button, but that’s the only way to get to those individual term pages.

I’ve also tried to enable the glossary index page, which does have the terms hyperlinked, but then the navigation bar vanishes. So I’ve had it as my own glossary page, so that people can at least use the navigation bar.

Thanks for your help!

We replied:

Thanks for shared URL with us 🙂

Our developer checked it, we just have this function in pro version, but our developer said he will add this function to free version in next version 🙂

Thanks, have a happy day with your family 🙂

Support Display or Hide Glossary Search Bar in Glossary Page, WordPress Tooltip Glossary Plugin 14.3.2

WordPress tooltip glossary plugin 14.3.2 released

Hi dear wordpress tooltip plugin users, hope this message find you are doing well and have happy days with your family, we are happy to report you, we just released wordpress glossary Plugin 14.3.2, in the wordpress glossary plugin 14.3.2, we added a new option in wordpress glossary settings panel to support display or hide glossary search bar in glossary page, via one click in wordpress glossary settings panel 🙂

What’s new in the wordpress tooltip glossary plugin 14.3.2?

We get an amazing user’s ticket, in which he told us he hope have an option in wordpress glossary settings panel to hide glossary search bar:
Hello and good day!
In my glossary page, I have two comments:
1.is possible hide the Search bar? Can this be a option in Glossary Settings ?
We replied:
Thanks for the suggestion, we will add an new option to display or hide search bar in glossary page 🙂
Actually, when users use our [glossary] shortcode to build a wordpress glossary page, he can display and hide glossary search bar with this method:
[glossary searchform='no']
or
[glossary searchform='yes']
By default, if you just use glossary shortcode [glossary], it means glossary page will display glossary search form 🙂
Our developer checked the ticket and he think many users like a option which can set up glossary search form just via one link in back end in one time, then users do not need enter searchform = no or searchform = yes every time, this is a great idea, that’s why we developed wordpress tooltip plugin 14.3.2 🙂
If you upgrade to the wordpress glossary plugin 14.3.2, in back end, if you click tooltips menu item, and click glossary settings sub menu item, you will open the glossary settings panel, it looks like this:
wordpress glossary custom setitngs panel in wordpress tooltip glossary version 14.3.2

wordpress glossary custom setitngs panel in wordpress tooltip glossary version 14.3.2

At the bottom, you will find the new option “Display Glossary Search Form?”, if you click “YES”, then the glossary search form will displayed at the top of the glossary table, if you click “NO”, then the glossary search form will be hide in the wordpress glossary page 🙂
Please note, wordpress glossary users can use [glossary searchform='no'] or [glossary searchform='yes'] to display or hide glossary search form too, and the priority of the short code is higher than the option value set in the backend, because we want to keep more options available for page builder users 🙂
Thanks for the great suggestion, if you have any question or suggestion of wordpress tooltip plugin, please don’t hesitate to tell us 🙂
Thanks, have a blessed day with your family 🙂

WordPress Tooltips Pro Plugin 14.2.6 Released, Improved WooCommerce Glossary and Glossary Shortcode

Hi Dear  WordPress Tooltips Plugin Users,

Hope this message find you are doing well and have happy days with your family! 🙂 We are happy to report you, we have released wordpress tooltip glossary plugin 14.2.6 🙂

Changes in WordPress Tooltip Glossary Plugin:

1: Woocommerce Glossary new option “Number of Glossary Items display in WooCommerce Product Tabs”

We got a ticket from a woocommerce glossary user who said that the new addon “woocommerce glossary” is a very good feature that helps him show more details of the product with an elegant way in the limited space of the product page, which helps to increase the sales of the woocommerce product.

And he especially like the feature that woocommerce glossary support only show specific woocomemrce glossary category, but his problem is that he wrote many woocommerce glossary items, so he want to have an option to allow woocommerce store manager to decide how many woocommerce glossary items to show in woocommerce glossary tab

This is the great feature reqeust, we have re-developed the our woocommerce glossary addon to allow woocommerce store manager to custom the number of woocommerce glossary items in the woocommerce glossary settings panel, it looks like this:

woocommerce glossary addon

woocommerce glossary addon

By default, when woocommerce store manager add enabled woocommerce glossary tab in his woocommerce product pages, we will show all woocommerce glossary items in the woocommerce glossary tab, an example looks like this:

woocommerce glossary tab with full items

woocommerce glossary tab with full items

But if woocommerce shop manager entered the woocommerce glossary number in the option “Number of Glossary Items display in WooCommerce Product Tabs”, wordpress tooltip pluginwill display only the specified number of woocommerce glossary items in woocommerce glossary tab, it looks like this:

woocommerce glossary limited items

woocommerce glossary limited items

2: WordPress glossary shortcode support displaying only a specific number of glossary items in glossary page

Our wordpress glossary developer think that the new feature is not only for woocommerce stores, but in fact all glossary should support this feature – just show the specified number of glossary on the glossary page, so we re-developed our glossary shortcode to support this function, since wordpress glossary 14.2.6, you can use the [glossary] like this:

[glossary limit=10]

If you want to display all glossary items in the glossary page, just remove the “limit” and use [glossary] directly 🙂

3 Fixed a bug of wordpress tooltip shortcode tooltip_by_id in wordpress tooltip plugin

An amazing user found, under some specific settings, some special characters will appear, we have find the reason and fixed this problem in wordpress tooltip plugin, thanks for the great bug report 🙂

If you have any question or suggestion of wordpress tooltip plugin, please don’t hesitate to tell us 🙂

Thanks, have a blessed day with your family 🙂
