Question:could you share the values of the dark theme (or the css code)

Hi, dear users of  WordPress Tooltip Plugin ,  hope this message find you are doing well and having happy weekend with your family 🙂  A developer  told us he like the dark them of wordpress tooltips pro plugin and he is try to custom the tooltip style, but he have a little trouble, he request us share the code of the wordpress tooltip dark theme with him, we know many users is using our default white blue wordpress tooltip child theme and a few users like the yellow wordpress tooltip child theme, a few users like the dark wordpress tooltip theme, we think may be more users want to custom the theme a little to match their wordpress theme, we’d like reply in here publicly for help more wordpress tooltip users 🙂

We get the question from the amazing user:

Hi! Thanks for the awesome plugin! Right now, I’m struggling with modyfying the “dark” theme. I wanted to change it but when I do, everything looks completely different and I can’t reproduce the “dark theme” style. I really like the ability of the dark theme to change the tooltip box size acording to how much text is in it. COuld you share the values of the dark theme (or the css code) with me so that I can go from there? Thanks!

and

If you access the post “test”, you can see that I use the standard “dark” theme. The website is a language learning website that uses tooltips as it’s dynamic dictionary. I like how the box size changes according to the text length of the tooltip. I have not succeeded in recreating this with the custom style…
So my question is: how can I change just a few things about the “dark” theme? I would like to change font size, no underlining, colors, but the rest should stay exactly the same.

Thanks!

Our wordpress developer checked codes of wordpress tooltips pro and we shared the css code with him:

Hi,

Thanks for the reply 🙂
This is the original css codes we using for the dark theme:
—————
/*! Dark tooltip style */
.qtip-dark{
background-color: #505050;
border-color: #303030;
color: #f3f3f3;
}

.qtip-dark .qtip-titlebar{
background-color: #404040;
}

.qtip-dark .qtip-icon{
border-color: #444;
}

.qtip-dark .qtip-titlebar .ui-state-hover{
border-color: #303030;
}
—————

Hope this have a little help 🙂

Thanks, have a blessed day with your family 🙂

Best Regards,
Support Team

Then the amazing developer replied us:

Hi!

Thanks, I actually found the solution: you can put the value “auto” in Tooltip Box Width.
Kind regards

Yes! Just like we said in our document How to Auto Fit the Display Box to WordPress Tooltips Content?

After upgraded to the wordpress tooltip pro version 14.8.2, you will find in the wordpress tooltip box width field, you can enter the width value or the word “auto” in this field, if you enter the width value, then all tooltip box will have the same width with your customized box width value, if you enter “auto”, then tooltip box will auto match the tooltip content, that means, if you just enter 2 words in tooltip content area, then wordpress tooltip pop-up window will not display the tooltip box with the width 400px, it will just display about 100px to auto-match the length of the tooltip content, and get rid of the extra space in the tooltip pop-up box 🙂

Hope this document have a little help for more users have the similar problems 🙂

Thanks for the great question about wordpress tooltips, this will help more users pro-solve the similar question from our wordpress tooltip knowledge base, if you have any more question or feature request about our wordpress glossary plugin, please don’t hesitate to contact us, we are very happy to help you  🙂

How to Link WordPress Tooltip to WordPress Glossary Page?

Hi, dear  WordPress Tooltip Plugin users,  hope this message find you are doing well and having happy weekend with your family 🙂  We get an wordpress tooltip user’s pre-sale question, we think may be more users have the same question, we’d like write a document for the this kind of question:

“Hello, I want to use / buy your beautiful tooltip plugin. But until now I can’t find any documentation if your plugin is able to link automatically the marked words to the glossary listed item. Means is there any cross link available? thank you very much. “

Our support replied:

Hi,

Thanks for the message 🙂

We are very happy to help you 🙂

Our glossary support links, would you please do a check at:
 wordpress glossary demo
if you click the link of glossary item, for example: “audio demo”, then
you will open the link:
wordpress audio tooltip demo
If I miss-understanding you, would you please tell me a little more
details so I can understand it better and help you better? 🙂

Thanks, have a happy day with your family 🙂

Best Regards,
Support Team

Then the user told us:

“Hello,

thank you for the feedback. But there was a misunderstanding. The tooltip underlines the listed words from the gallery inside the post textes with
dotted lines. If you hover with the mouse over it the tooltip will open.  Fine. But now I want to click on it to open direct the detail view of the
glossary item. This link would be great to generate automatically for each glossary item. Is that possible?

Thanks a lot.

Best regards”

So we understand what’s the real question the user’s looking for, we replied:

Thanks for the reply 🙂

Sorry for any misunderstanding, in glossary table, each tooltip / glossary item has been added a link automatically, just like we show it in the glossary page demo https://tooltips.org/glossary-demo/ , if you click the tooltip / glossary item , you can open a dedicated glossary item page via the link.

I guess may be what you want is: in any tooltip item in wordpress pages(not only in glossary page), you hope not only display tooltips popup, you hope have a link to open a dedicated tooltip / glossary item page, if so we have an option to help admin enable a link to dedicated tooltip / glossary item page — the link is displayed at the bottom IN tooltips POPUP window, or let’s say — when users hover the tooltip term in wordpress page, the tooltip content will displayed in tooltip popup window, and under the tooltip content, we have a link that link to the detailed tooltip details page, you can enable / disable it in the tooltips admin panel, this feature has been realized in a few years before — wordpress tooltips pro version 8.7.6,  is it what you want?  🙂

You can do it by this way:

How to Link WordPress Tooltip to WordPress Glossary Page?

1: purchase wordpress tooltips pro or wordpress tooltips pro plus plugin via wordpress tooltips plugin shop, in here we also have many free wordpress plugins for wordpress tooltip users

2:after purchase the wordpress tooltips pro plugin, download wordpress tooltips plugin via wordprejss tooltip plugin download page.

3: login your wordpress site as wordpress admin

4: in wordpress dashboard, click “pluigins” menu item and then click “add new” sub menu item

5: then upload the zip file  of the wordpress pro plugin which downloaded from wordpress tooltip plugin site and activate the wordpress tooltips pro plugin

6: click “tooltips” menu item in wordpress dashboard, then click “optional settings sub menu item”

7: you will open wordpress tooltip optional settings panel, then you will find the option:

” Add tooltips links in tooltip popup box”,  it looks like this:

Add wordpress tooltips links in tooltip popup box

In the option “Add tooltips links in tooltip popup box”, you can enable or disable tooltip links in wordpress tooltip pop-up window for wordpress tooltip terms, and you can opt to open glossary link in the new windows 🙂

By this way, wordpress tooltip plugin will add links to each wordpress tooltip terms in wordpress tooltip popup window, when user mouse hover the tooltip term, they will find at the bottom of the wordpress tooltip window, there are link of the details page of the wordpress tooltip term, also if you enable the option to add links to the tooltip term, wordpress tooltip plugin will enable “Enable Glossary Index Page” option in Glossary Settings Panel automatically. 🙂

Thanks for the great question, if you have any more question about wordpress tooltip plugin, please don’t hesitate to tell us,we are very happy to help users and improve our wordpress tooltip plugin always 🙂

How to Customize the WordPress Glossary with a Different Style According to the Category They Belong to? Supported by WordPress Tooltip Glossary Plugin Multi-Site Version 14.6.4

DearWordPress Tooltip plugin users,  hope this message find you are doing well and having happy days with your family 🙂  An amazing wordpress tooltip user told us he want to find a method to customize the background for each wordpress tooltip glossary item in glossary page according to the wordpress tooltip category :

Hi guys, is it possible to customize tooltips differently for each category? Are there different html tags for the tooltip categories that allow meto customize the css code?

May be you known, in our wordpress tooltip plugin, we support customize style for each wordpress tooltip item, but the tooltip category is only used by tooltip glossary shortcode — which used to build a glossary page, and in the glossary settings panel, glossary users have ability to customize style for glossary elements, for example: Glossary Term Font Color, Glossary Term Font Size, Glossary Content Font Color, Glossary List Border Color, Background Color of Glossary Terms Title, Background Color of Glossary Terms Content…etc, it looks like this:

glossary settings panel in wordpress glossary plugin 14.5.4

glossary settings panel in wordpress glossary plugin 14.5.4

So as you can see, via glossary panel, you can customize wordpress glossary style just via a few mouse clicks, for avoid any  miss-understand of the user’s question, we replied:

Thanks for the message 🙂

We are very happy to help you 🙂

Sorry this is the first time we heard this kind of request, would you please tell us more details about how do you want to custom it? So we can understand it better? 🙂

Thanks, have a blessed day with your family 🙂

The user replied more details:

I should customize the tooltips with a different style according to the category they belong to.
For example, if the tooltip is assigned to “category 1” the background should have a specific colour, but if it is assigned to “category 2” the
background should have a different colour. Is it possible?

We replied:

Thanks for the reply 🙂

Understood, sorry, in the current time, we cannot do it yet, but we will try to realize this feature in future version 🙂

Thanks, have a blessed day with your family 🙂

This is why we developed a new wordpress tooltip glossary plugin version to solve it for users 🙂

In general, wordpress tooltip glossary users can build a pretty glossary page via wordpress glossary shortcode:

[glossary] , and you can use the WordPress glossary shortcode to display a wordpress glossary category separately in glossary page, just write your wordpress glossary shortcode like this:

[glossary catid='5,10,12']

Now, if you upgraded to wordpress tooltip glossary multi-site license version, you can assign specific background color for each glossary,  or each glossary category,  it looks like this:

[glossary catid='5' titlebackgroundcolor='red']

you can use the html color tag, red, blue, green, yellow…etc as backgroun color in here

or you can use css color code like this:

[glossary catid='7' contentbackgroundcolor='#963412']

or use both of html color tag and css color code:

[glossary catid='10' titlebackgroundcolor='red' contentbackgroundcolor='#963412']

By this way, you can easy to customize the WordPress Glossary with different background according to the glossary category they belong to? We will develop new wordpress tooltip glossary versions to support customize more style for each glossary via glossary shortcode 🙂

Please note, this advanced glossary shortcode just supported in wordpress tooltip multi-site license, if users need upgrade from single-site license to multi-site license, we’d like offer a discount to help users upgrade quickly 🙂

Thanks for the great feature request, if you have any question or suggestion of wordpress tooltip plugin, please don’t hesitate to tell us, we are happy to build a better wordpress plugin for you 🙂
Thanks, have a blessed day with your family 🙂
