We received a ticket about how to add a related glossary link in wordpress tooltip popup box and change the language of the link to your own language, the user asked:

In the Tooltip PopUp is the Link to Glossar in englisch “More Details”.Where can I change this in German language?

Since wordpress tooltip glossary plugin 8.7.6, our wordpress tooltip plugin support add link of  related wordpress glossary of terms in tooltip popup box, when users mouse hover a tooltip term in wordpress post, at the bottom of the tooltip popup window, you will find “More Details” link after content of the tooltip, if you click “More Details” links, you will open tooltip glossary term page, it is user-friendly and SEO-friendly.

How to Enable Related Glossary Term Link(“More Details”) in Back end of WordPress Tooltip Plugin ?

You can enable it by this way:

1 Login wordpress admin area

2 Click “Tooltips” menu item

3 Click “Optional Settings” sub menu item, “Tooltips Optional Settings” panel

4: In “Tooltips Optional Settings” panel, you will find “add links for tooltip terms in tooltip popup box” option, if you enabled this option, wordpress tooltip plugin will add tooltip glossary term  links in tooltip popup box, and enable “Enable Glossary Index Page” option in Glossary Settings Panel automatically.

How to Change the Word “More Details” of Glossary Term Link in Tooltip Popup Window to Your Own Language?

1 Login wordpress admin area
2 Click “Tooltips” menu item
3 Click “Addons” sub menu item
4 You will open “Tooltips Addon Settings” panel, please enable “Tooltips Language Customization” addon and the click “Update Now” button
5 Please refresh this page and then under “Tooltips” menu item, you will find “Languages” sub menu item
6 Click “Languages” sub menu item, then you will open “Custom Language of Tooltip and Glossary” panel, you will find “Custom More details in Tooltip Popup Window” option at the bottom of the setting panel, just change it with your word and click “Submit” button

Support Custom “More Details” Glossary Term Link in Tooltip Popup Window to Your Own Language

An amazing user told us, she like the the glossary term link “more details” in tooltip popup box, so she can just put tooltip excerpt in tooltip popup window to make the tooltip simple and clean and light and looks near, also users can click to see full content about this glossary term in glossary term page, that’s great, and she hope she can change the word “more details” with her own words, this is the problem what wordpress tooltip plugin 10.5.4 solved  🙂

As you know, if you want to custom words in wordpress tooltip glossary plugin with your own words, in backend, at first you need to  enable tooltip glossary language addon,, then you will find “language” sub menu item, and if you click the “language” sub menu item, you will open”Custom Language of Tooltip and Glossary ” setting panel, in here you can find new ‘Custom “More Details”‘ in Tooltip Popup Window’ option box, it looks like this:

You can enter your own words with your own language in the ‘Custom “More Details”‘ input box, of course, if you do not change it, by default, wordpress tooltip will still use “More Details”.:)

Where to find the “More Details” link in front end?  In general, in front end, if you enabled “enable tooltip link in tooltip popup box” option in “Tooltips Optional Settings” setting panel, you will see “More Details” glossary term link in tooltip popup box, and your customized “More Details” language will replace this default word “More Details” 🙂

Opt to add a gray “tooltip support” link (https://tooltips.org/contact-us) at the bottom of tooltip popup window

So once users find any problem in tooltip box, they can contact us and report the problem directly,  in front end, it looks like this:

You can see the gray “tooltip support” link looks natural and doesn’t affect the reading experience 🙂

By default, the option is disabled, only when you enabled credit link option in optional settings panel, the gray “tooltip support” credit link will be shown at the bottom of tooltip popup window, else in tooltip popup box have no any credit link.

How to enable tooltip support link?

#1 Please go to WordPress admin area

#2 Click “Tooltips” menu

#3 Click “Optional Settings” sub menu

#4 At the bottom of the “Optional Settings” panel, click “YES” in “Tooltip Support” Credit Link at Bottom of Tooltip option box, then click “Update  Now” button, it looks like this:

Then you will enable tooltips support link in tooltip popup box 🙂

How to Select My Own Glossary Index Page, How to Delete Default Glossary Index Page

Based on users requests, we are adding knowledge base to help users use wordpress tooltips glossary plugin more easier, today we added a new item in wordpress tooltip knowledge base:

“How to Select My Own Glossary Index Page, How to Delete Default Glossary Index Page”.

Based on users feature requests, for increase SEO rank of wordpress tooltip site, we will create glossary page for your site,  each glossary item have their own link, and all these links will listed in wordpress glossary page automatically.

In general, at the first time when you enabled glossary index page in “Enable Glossary Index Page” option, we will generate a new wordpress page “glossary” at ‘ ‘Glossary Index Page for you automatically, however, you can select any wordpress page as glossary index page from select box in “Glossary Index Page” option via “Glossary Settings” plugins menu, the “Glossary Settings” panel looks like this:

Also if you want to delete glossary index page, you can just find it and delete the page “glossary” manually at wordpress admin area -> all pages, and select another page as your glossary page.

What Is Changes: Enable / Disable Glossary Navigation Bar In Glossary Page OR Tooltip List Page

An user opened a ticket, he told us he like a simple and clean style on glossary page, he want to have a chance to custom glossary page to enable or disable glossary navigation bar in glossary page, wordpress tooltip list page, based on his feature request, we developed a new version wordpress tooltip 9.0.0 to realize this feature request.

How “Enable / Disable Glossary Navigation Bar In Glossary Page OR Tooltip List Page” Works?

After upgraded to wordpress tooltip plugin 9.0.0. If you logged in wordpress admin area, and click tooltips menu, then click “Glossary Settings” Panel, You will find In “Glossary Settings” panel, we added new option “Remove Navigation Bar in Glossary Page”:

If you select “YES” in the option “Remove Navigation Bar in Glossary Page”, we will remove navigation bar which at the top of the glossary page

If you select “NO” in the option “Remove Navigation Bar in Glossary Page”, we will add navigation bar at the top of the glossary page

Based on users feature suggestion, we just finished a new wordpress tooltip version 8.8.8, in this version:

An user told us in his glossary list page, he want a wordpress glossary search form, so his customers can search and get interested products glossary quickly, it is a great suggestion, we are very happy to realize this amazing feature, we re-developed our wordpress tooltips plugin, and now if you check glossary list page, you will find at the top of glossary terms, there are a glossary search form. 🙂

How does WordPress Glossary Search Form Working?

As you know wordpress tooltip plugin have a shortcode [glossary], once you insert this wordpress glossary shortcode in any wordpress posts or wordpress page, we will show users a glossary list table, you can find it at wordpress glossary demo.

Now if you upgraded to wordpress tooltip 8.8.8, we added glossary search form at the top of wordpress glossary lists, users can search glossary term in glossary search  form, once he clicked “search” button,  in glossary table, we will only show related glossary terms search result to the user.

For example, if you use [glossary catname='love'], we will just search and show glossary terms in the wordpress tooltip category “love”.

What are we doing for new wordpress tooltip glossary functionality?

Based on a few users requests, we are enhance functions of wordpress glossary, for example, a few users told us they do not need a glossary nav bar… and so on, so we are try to add more wordpress glossary control option in backend, so wordpress tooltip plugin users can decide which component will shown in wordpress glossary list page, include glossary nav-bar, glossary search form… and so on.
