Quick question, does your plugin allow shortcode to display within the tooltip.

We have a tabledata plugin which give a short code.

I’d like to display a datatable in this tooltip using that shortcode.

Is that possible?

In our old version of wordpress tooltip free plugin, wordpress tooltip plugin will hook wordpress the_content API to display tooltip effects to original content of a wordpress post or wordpress page, so our old version did not support display tooltip in content that generated by shortcode of 3rd wordpress plugin. 🙂

What is wordpress shortcode?

WordPress shortcode is a small snippet of code that can be used to do various things with specific effort.   A wordpress shortcode will expand a simple coed to a few large functions, for example [faq] or [[youtube]] …etc, what you need is just insert shortcode in a wordpress post, and 3rd plugin which created the shortcode will turn the shortcode simple code into a specific effort, for example, display a youtube tooltip video  in wordpress post …etc.

In old version of wordpress tooltip plugin, when we hook wordpress API of a wordpress post, the post content that we get is just the shortcode, not the content which generated by that wordpress plugin.

Our wordpress tooltip plugin developer checked his feature request and re-developed our wordpress tooltip free plugin, now if you use shortcode of 3rd wordpress plugin to generate content in a wordpress post, wordpress tooltip plugin will try to read content that generated by the shortcode and check does there are tooltip terms in content which generated by shortcode, and then add tooltip effects to tooltip term in content that generated by shortcode  too 🙂

Please note, because there are so many plugins generate content via to many shortcode — with many methods,  we are not promise wordpress tooltip plugin support all shortcodes,  we do finished many tests already, we installed table plugin, faq plugin, video plugin…etc, in the current time, wordpress tooltip works well in content that generated by shortcode. But may be wordpress tooltip plugin cannot work with a few specific shortcode, if you have problem and tell us more, we will improve our wordpress tooltip to support more 3rd wordpress plugins too 🙂

In wordpress tooltip admin side, you do not need to change any settings in backend, this function will works automatically 🙂
