How to set up tooltip position in wordpress tooltips plugin? (Updated 2024-04-09)

Dear wordpress tooltip plugin users, hope this message finds you well and that you are enjoying happy days with your family! We received a support ticket from a WordPress tooltip user, inquiring about the following question:

“Hi, I have only just bought the tooltip pro version hoping I would be able to style tool tips easily but I have an image tooltip that is at the top of the page … and I cannot figure out box position choices.

I’ve tried a custom style and even applied that to a div around the image but I cannot position the image under the tooltip.

Is there some css/js conflict? Perhaps with formidable forms which also use tooltips?

We checked his page, actually, in wordpress tooltips plugin, it is very easy to setup the position of wordpress tooltip window, we have developed tooltip position function for all wordpress tooltip users since wordpress tooltip pro 4.1.6 in many years before(today the tooltip version is 30.4.8) we are happy to write a detailed document for wordpress tooltip users 🙂

Conclusion:

Why the WordPress tooltip plugin user needs to have tooltip position choices in the settings?

  1. Visibility: The user might want to optimize the visibility of the tooltip by choosing its position on the page. They may want to ensure that the tooltip does not cover important content or elements, or they may want to position it in a way that is easily noticeable by visitors.
  2. Aesthetics: The user might have specific design preferences and wants to style the tooltips in a way that complements the overall design of their website. By having position choices in the settings, they can align the tooltips with other elements on the page for a cohesive look.
  3. User Experience: The positioning of the tooltip can affect the user experience. For example, if the tooltip is covering important information or obstructing the user’s view, it could lead to frustration or confusion. By being able to choose the tooltip position, the user can enhance the overall user experience and make the tooltips more effective.
  4. Compatibility: The user might be using other plugins or elements on their website that require specific positioning of the tooltips. By having position choices in the settings, they can ensure that the tooltips work harmoniously with other elements on the page. It’s important to note that these are speculative reasons, and the actual motivations of the user may vary.

Wishing you a delightful day ahead 🙂

Best Regards,
