Streamlining Your WordPress Tooltips: How to Assign Categories
Greetings to our amazing WordPress Tooltip plugin users! I hope this message brings a smile to your face and finds you in the company of your dear ones, sharing wonderful moments filled with joy. 🙂 We received a ticket from an amazing wordpress tooltip user:
I want to select many tooltips to a category. After selecting “all tooltips”, then selecting many tooltips, then “Bulk Action = Edit”, then “Apply” then select “category” then “Update”, nothing seems to happen. I open the “Categories” screen and the selected tooltips have not been assigned to the category. Am I doing something wrong, or is there another way in which I can assign many tooltips to one category in a simple way? Thanks for your help.
We conducted a few tests and found that it works well on our end. We would like to write a document for the users of the WordPress Tooltips plugin . 🙂
1: Login wordpress as an admin
2: click on the tooltips menu in the wordpress dashboard
3: select the “Categories” submenu item, this will open the “Categories” control panel, which looks like this:
As you can see, we have created a tooltip category called “test”. Currently, the count for the tooltip category “test” is 0
4: Next, click on “all tooltips” submenu item, this will open the “Tooltips” control panel, which looks like this:
5: Select multiple tooltips and choose “Edit from the “Bulk actions” dropdown menu, then click the “Apply” button to open the BULK EDIT panel, which looks like this:
6: Click the “Update” button to submit your changes, after this, go back to the “Categories” panel again, you will find that all nine tooltip terms have been assigned into the “test” category, as shown here:
Would you please follow our guide to assign tooltip terms into category again? If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! We are very happy to help you resolve any issues. 🙂
Thanks, have a blessed day with your loved ones 🙂
