I trust this message reaches you in good spirits, experiencing happy moments with your loved ones 🙂 We received a WordPress tooltip support ticket from a new user who wants to change the background color of the tooltip term when hovering over the tooltip keyword in a WordPress post. 🙂

This is the first time we’ve received such a feature request. Our wordpress tooltip plugin developer has created a new version, WordPress Tooltips Pro Plus 30.8.8, to implement this functionality for WordPress tooltip users 🙂

How do I customize the tooltip term background when hovering over a tooltip keyword in a WordPress post?

2: Downloaded and install wordpress tooltip pro + plugin which version >= 30.8.8

3: click on the tooltips menu in wordpress dashboard

4: click on the  tooltips style sub menu item to wordpress tooltip style settings panel, the wordpress tooltip style settings panel looks like this:

Please note, the dark bar in the screenshot are added by my browser screenshot addon, in the real wordpress tooltip plugin, there are no dark bar in the tooltip style settings panel

5: In the WordPress tooltip style settings panel, locate the ‘Term Hover Background in Post’ option. Here, you can choose a nice color from the WordPress color picker.

6: additionally, it is not all users may want to change the tooltip term background in their WordPress post. Therefore, we added a checkbox that allows WordPress admins to enable or disable this function.
