I have finished a important version of wordpress tooltips, in the wordpress tooltis 6.5.0, I have upgraded core codes of javascripts and css, we have prepared to make more amazing tooltips effects in next versions, Also I have fixed a autocomplete conflicts and Enhanced addon security. 🙂

We have received a few more tooltip feature request, we are finishing new version and you will see it soon 🙂

Based on users requests, I have developed a new wordpress tooltip plugin 6.4.2, updates in this version:
# Support сyrillic language (Russian)
# support disable specific tooltips for woocommerce
# avoid conflict with a few themes default jquery autocomplete

# In style customize setting pabel, Users can change toolstips term color via color picker
# Added tooltips popup animation effects, for example: wiggle, scale, 360 degree rotation,rotateY vertical Y-axis, and I am add more effects
# Fixed setting problem in a few browser
# Change duplicated function name with free version
# Fixed a few words in setting panel
# Changed update notify server for get update information faster

WordPress Tooltips 5.9.2 Released, Support Bullet Screens Effect

Hi Dears,

I just released wordpress tooltips pro 5.9.2, in this version, we start to support bullet screen effect, what is bullet screen? In some countries, for example Korean, China… and so on, a few site start to allows show text messages fly across the screen like bullets, we call it bullet screen, a example site which USA / EU / CN users like is viki.com.

How to use it? When you add / edit tooltips in tooltips standard editor at http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=tooltips, you will find a new post metabox panel “Bullet screen of this tooltip”, you can enter text messages in here, if you want enter multi text messages lists, just separated them by comma, then
when users view tooltips terms, when their mouse out the tooltips term, we will show your text messages with a bullet screen effect, If there are multi text messages lists related with current tooltips term, we will show display a random text from your text messages lists. If you do not want to show bullet screen effect, just delete it from the post metabox panel, this is just start stage, if you have any feedback, we are happy to improve it. 🙂

Also we fixed theme conflicts on glossary page and fixed theme conflicts on tooltip list page

Based on user requested, I have improved wordpress tooltips glossary list style, make all wordpress glossary template look more pretty and make it more robust, also I have fixed a bug in glossary section. 🙂

I have updated a new wordpress tooltips pro plugin, in the version 5.6.8, based on users requested, I have added default color value in tooltips style customization panel, for avoid miss-understand.

WordPress Tooltips Pro 5.6.6 Released, I heard some client want to give more permission of tooltips pro to common users, in general, our tooltips pro setting panels is a section of wordpress admin area, so it is protected by wordpress admin pages, but if you want to open tooltips pro settings panel to common users, that means we need do more works for improve security features, I enhanced security of back end, in wordpress tooltips pro 5.6.6:
# When users import tooltips, we use current_user_can to check users have upload_files permission
# When users import tooltips, we use wordpress wp_nonce_field to enhance security

I have released wordpress tooltips Pro 5.6.2, in this version I have solve all problems you mentioned, we can:
# When we released a new version of tooltips pro plugin, you will get plugin update notify on admin top bar
# In tooltips popup window, large image will not out of box now
# Avoid caption conflicts in tooltips
# Avoid caption conflicts in shortcode tooltipslist
# Avoid caption conflicts in shortcode glossary
# Rewrite all functions to avoid activate conflicts of tooltips pro and tooltips free
# After tooltips Pro plugin activated, tooltips pro will detect whether tooltips free plugin is activated, if yes, tooltips pro will deactivate tooltips free plugin for avoid conficts.

Would you please install it and do a check again? Sorry for the delay of the release new version, we still received many new features requests, some of them have a little to do, I will split realized new features in new versions and publish them soon, you can always get new version update notification bar in your site dashbooard top bar. 🙂

New version WordPress Tooltips Pro plugin 5.4.8 has been released, the features in 5.4.8:
#1 In Glossary setting panel, can enable or disable glossary index page now
#2 If disable glossary index page, we will remove glossary links for each glossary term
If enable glossary index page, we will add glossary links for each glossary term
#3 If disable glossary index page, we will remove all landing (definition) page of glossary term
If enable glossary index page, we will generate landing (definition) page for each glossary term
#4 You can choose your own glossary index page in glossary setting panel, and you can delete default glossary page which generated automatically
#5 If you disable glossary index page, you can delete default glossary page which generated automatically
#6 Fix the problem of ALT Images tooltips in new wordprss and jquery versions
#7 Fix the problem of REL Images tooltips in new wordprss and jquery versions
#8 Fix the problem of Title Images tooltips in new wordprss and jquery versions
#9 Fix a problem of tooltips case sensitive
#10 Added filed request notice on glossary setting panel
#11 Support Spanish language now
#12 In Glossary setting panel, you can hide the letters in the Glossary Nav Bar that don’t have any tooltips associated with them, i.e., where the number of tooltips is zero.
#13 Fix the problem that when tooltips content have javascript special character
#14 Fix the problem in tooltips for title
#15 Clean codes

We are making some video tutorial, and we have finished 6 section, we will create video tutorial pages and tell you links again, so you can understand how to use our plugin more easier. 🙂

1: We fixed the WP Query conflict with a few plugins and themes, full re-developed tooltip mysql query section

2: For help users understand each setting option better, re-developed back end tips section, added detailed information for each setting options

3: Fixed the word spelling error
