How to Disable specific wordpress tooltip categories in a wordpress post?

We got a wordpress tooltip ticket from a tooltip user:

I want to know if there’s a feature that allows me to enable tooltips only in specific post category.
Ex: the term ‘A’ in post category ‘X’ and ‘B’ in post category ‘Y’, etc. at the same time. I know there’s a feature to only show them in one post category, but that’s not what I’m looking for. I want to be able to pick and choose which post category each term will show up in.I check out the FAQ and the list of available features, but they don’t really answer my question.

Hi,

I notice that you have added a feature to enable or disable tooltips for specific post.

But is it possible to choose the specific tooltips term to enable or disable? For example, in a single post, I only want to enable tooltips term “A” and “C”, but not “B” etc.? In other words, I want to know if the features I asked about last time have been made available?

Our wordpress tooltip developer checked this ticket and we decide develop the feature for wordpress tooltip plugin users. You can disable specific tooltip categories in any wordpress posts easily:

1: Login wordpress tooltip plugin site

2: Click “download”  menu item to download wordpress tooltip plugin, it will be a wordpress plugin zip file.

3: Login your wordpress site admin area

4: In your wordpress backend, click “Plugins” menu please

5: If you installed wordpress tooltips free plugin or old wordpress pro plugin, please deactivate it and delete the old wordpress tooltip plugin

6: Then in the wordpress “Plugins” panel, please click “add new” link at the top of the plugins panel to install the wordpress gif tooltip plugin which downloaded from tooltips.org

7: Upload the wordpress tooltips plugin zip file which you downloaded from wordpress tooltip pro plus plugin site

8: Activate the new wordpress tooltip plugin version which you installed via plugins menu

9: Then create a new wordpress post or edit a existed wordpress post

10: In wordpress editor, you will find a new metabox “Disable specific tooltip categories?”, it looks like this:

You can see in the “Disable specific tooltip categories” metabox, you can enter categories ids in the input box, split by comma “,” — to exclude a few specific wordpress tooltip categories in this page 🙂

11: Once click publish button in the wordpress editor, then in the front end, you will find tooltips  effect of the tooltip terms which in these specific tooltip categories has been removed 🙂

By this way, you can build multiple-languages tooltips.

How to build multiple-language tooltip?

1: click tooltips menu item in wordpress backend

2: click categories sub menu item

3: you will open wordpress tooltip categories panel , please just create a few categories, for example, French, English, German…. and so on

4: click add new sub menu item

5: create a few tooltip terms based on different language, for example, you can create 3 tooltips terms “wordpress”, with different content based on French, English, German, so there are 3 tooltips terms “wordpress” have 3 different languages, please assign tooltip terms with the language categories, for example, French, English, German…. and so on

6: then in wordpress posts standard editor, if the post language is German, then please disable “French”, “English” tooltip categories in the “Disable specific tooltip categories?” metabox, and click update button or publish button to store the changes

7: then in the front end of wordpress posts,  wordpress tooltips plugin will only add French tooltip content in the tooltip term “wordpress”

by this way, you can build multiple-language tooltip for different languages in different posts

Also in the wordpress tooltips pro plus 15.0.0, we have changed the core algorithm of the wordpress tooltip plugin, for support more amazing tooltips features which requested by wordpress tooltip users, please upgrade to the wordpress tooltips pro plugin multi-site license asap 🙂
