How do I stop tooltips from showing up on my phone?

A user of the wordpress tooltip asked us a question:

How do I stop wordpress tooltips from showing up on my phone?

We are sure more wordpress tooltip plugin users have the same question and we are willing to answer it openly in this post so that we can help more wordpress tooltip users!

step by step of stop wordpress tooltips from showing up on my phone:

1: If you never installed tooltip plugin, login tooltip account at wordpress glossary tooltip plugin first, if you have installed wordpress tooltip, just jump to step #10 directly, thanks 🙂

2: Download wordpress glossary tooltip plugin via “Download” link, you can find it at the top menu of wordpress tooltips site.

3: Login wordpress admin area of your wordpress site

4: Click “Plugins” menu item

5: If you have installed wordpress tooltips free plugin, please deactivated old tooltips version

6: Delete the old wordpress tooltip free plugin

7: In “Plugins” menu item, click add new at the top of the plugins panel

8: Upload the wordpress tooltips plugin zip file which you downloaded from wordpress tooltip glossary plugin site

9: Activate the wordpress tooltip glossary plugin.

10: Click “Tooltips” menu item

11: Click “Global Settings” sub menu item, you will open “WordPress Tooltips Global Settings” panel

12: In the tooltips global settings panel, you will find the option: “Disable Tooltip on Mobile Devices”, it looks like this:

13: If you do not hope tooltips show on users’ mobile devices, please select “Disable Tooltip On Mobile Devices”

14 Click “Update Now” blue button

15 In front end, if you open your wordpress pages on mobile devices, you will tooltips has been removed from your wordpress posts 🙂

We get a user’s ticket, in which he asked us a question “How to disable tooltips from showing on mobile view”?

We are happy to report you, we have released wordpress tooltip glossary plugin 11.4.6 to realize this function, changes in wordpress tooltip 11.4.6:

How to Disable WordPress Tooltips from Showing on Mobile View

It is very easy to disable wordpress tooltip from showing on mobile view, please:

#1 Login wordpress admin area

#2 Click tooltips menu

#3 Click “Global Settings” sub menu, you will open  “Tooltips Global Settings” panel, in the panel, you will find new option box “Disable Tooltip on Mobile Devices”

It looks like this:

If you select disable tooltip on mobile devices, in front end, when users view your site via mobile devices, we will remove tooltips effect on user’s mobile

This option will only affect mobile users, PC users will keep the default behavior 🙂
