We are happy to inform you that we have received a fantastic suggestion from one of our amazing WordPress Tooltip users. She has built a recipe site that collects thousands of recipes from around the world, and many users now rely on her site, especially on weekends when they rent kitchens to cook and party. These users have praised her recipes for being excellent and detailed. However, they often find themselves busy when preparing a lot of food. So, they have suggested that it would be great if the recipes could be read out automatically. To address this suggestion, she has used our WordPress Tooltip plugin on her recipe website. By simply clicking on the name of a dish on her phone, a tooltip window pops up, displaying a detailed recipe. Now, she wants to make it even easier for her users by adding a voice autobroadcast button to the tooltip window. This button would allow the content of the recipe to be automatically read out.
We are happy to announce that we have developed a new version of WordPress Tooltip Pro Plus plugin 25.9.8, which supports text to speech (TTS) service for content in tooltip popup windows. We are thrilled to provide TTS tooltips for our users and are working hard to add more and more features to make the tooltips even better. Soon, you will be able to choose between male and female voices, adjust the speaking rate, and more!
What is TTS?
TTS stands for text-to-speech, which is the process of converting written text into spoken words. Enabling TTS service for content in tooltip popup windows can enhance the user experience by providing an alternative way of consuming information. It also makes your website more accessible for those who may have difficulty reading or prefer listening to content.

How to enable Text to Speech Tooltips?
1: If you are using wordpress tooltips pro plus plugin, please click wordpress tooltip download to download latest version of wordpress tooltip pro + plugin , we will try to support this feature in wordpress tooltip pro version and wordpress tooltip free version later, What is the difference between the Pro version and the Free version? WordPress tooltips pro plus plugin will have more functions and options, for example, choose male voice, female voice, speaking rate….etc, more and more 🙂
2: Upload the wordpress tooltip plugin (zip file) via plugins panel in your wordpress dashboard, if you are new user of wordpress tooltip, please check our video of how to install wordpress tooltip at: WordPress Tooltips Video Tutorial 3: How to upload and activate wordpress tooltips pro plugin
3: Log in your wordpress site, in wordpress dashboard, please click on Tooltips menu item, then click “Global settings” sub menu item, you will open wordpress global settings panel, it looks like this:

As you can see, at the bottom of the wordpress tooltips global settings panel, we added a new option “enable / disable text to speech tooltips(read tooltip content for your users)” , please just enable the TTS option, then in front end, users will find a “click to listen” button at the right-bottom of the wordpress tooltips pop-up window, it looks like this:

As you can see when users mouse hover the tooltips term “How to Make Strawberry Ice Cream”, the tooltip window popup with detailed Strawberry Ice Cream recipe, then at the right-bottom of the Strawberry Ice Cream recipe, you will find the green click to listen button.
If you click on the “click to listen” button, the wordpress tooltip will start reading the entire strawberry ice cream recipe out loud! And the button text will changed from “click to listen” to “click to stop” , by click “”click to stop””, you can pause the reading, and the text on the button will be changed from “click to stop” to “click to listen” again, you can click to continue with the voice tooltips 🙂
