Solution Implemented: 400 Bad Request Alert in Browser Console for WordPress Tooltip Plugin Stats in WordPress
Greetings to our valued WordPress Tooltip Plugin users! I trust this message finds you thriving and making the most of quality time with your loved ones. We’ve recently received an inquiry from a webmaster managing an online school website:
“this isn’t a major issee, but is has been present since I first install the plugin years ago….
Evert tooltip generates a warning in the browser on console…, … returns a 400 (bad request) “
Our wordpress tooltips plugin team has diligently reviewed the issue and worked tirelessly to resolve it. The problem arises in the WordPress Tooltips Pro Plus plugin, where the AJAX module captures click statistics when users hover over tooltips. This data is then sent to the back-end, enabling WordPress administrators to monitor the number of clicks for each tooltip term in the backend panel:
This functionality operates smoothly when the tooltip administrator enables the ‘Enable / Disable Tooltip Term Click Statistics’ option in the global settings panel. However, if the administrator chooses to disable this option, the backend will cease to receive AJAX data. While this will not disrupt any other functionalities, users may encounter a 400 warning in their browser console.
Once we got the ticket, our wordpress tooltip plugin developer stayed up all night to solve this issue for the tooltip user, finally we resolved this issue and released wordpress tooltips pro plus 35.0.8
On user-end, simply upgrade to the wordpress tooltips pro plus 35.0.8, you do not need to do anything, all things will works well automatically. 🙂
Conclusion:
We apologize for not identifying this issue earlier. We added the WordPress Tooltip statistics function many years ago. Generally, WordPress tooltip administrators will enable this AJAX Tooltip statistics function. The click statistics function was added to the WordPress Tooltip Plugin for several important reasons, providing various benefits for administrators:
