Using Mathjax in the tooltip

How to I use Mathjax in the tooltips? As I observe, in the tooltips symbol “/” is skipped as:

\(\dfrac{a}{b}\)

becomes

(dfrac{a}{b})

Besides, can the Latex equations be rendered in the tooltips?
