Dear WordPress Tooltip users, hope this message find you are doing well and have happy weekend with your family, based on user’s feedback, we developed a new version: WordPress Tooltips Plugin 14.3.8, in the wordpress tooltip 14.3.8, WordPress Tooltip administrator can enable / disable wordpress tooltip terms shown in the WordPress search result, via one click in back end of wordpress tooltip settings panel 🙂

What’s new changes in WordPress Tooltip Glossary Plugin  Version 14.3.8?

An amazing wordpress tooltip plugin user wrote to us:

Exclude the page with the tip title from searches

When I search for a word on my site, the page with the name of the tip I created in the title also appears in the search result. How can I configure the tip page so that it does not appear in the search results? Is this possible?

Actually, in wordpress glossary settings panel, we have an option to enable / disable glossary term searchable or not, but in wordpress tooltip settings panel, we have no this option yet, many users just use function of wordpress tooltips, so our developer decide to develop a new function to help users do disable or enable wordpress tooltip terms and content display in wordpress standard search result list or not. Now it is very easy to do via one click:

1: Please login wordpress site admin area

2: Please click tooltips menu item

3: Please click “Optional Settings” sub menu item

4: You will find new option: “Enable Tooltip and Glossary Searchable option” in Tooltips Optional Settings, it looks like this:

At the bottom of the screenshot of tooltips optional settings panel, you will find new option “Enable Tooltip and Glossary Searchable option”, if you select yet, then when users search keyword in wordperss standard search form, we will display tooltip terms and tooltip content in the wordpress search result, if you select no, then wordpress tooltip plugin will exclude the page with the tip title from searches

What’s changes in the WordPress FAQ Plugin 3.7.1?

An amazing user of WordPress Frequently Asked Questions Plugin wrote to us, he love the wordpress FAQ plugin function of ”

A problem is, he found in the search engine, there are duplicated post, although the FAQ title is different, but the content of FAQ is the same of the imported wordpress post, he hope remove these duplicated FAQ content from search result from search engine, for example, google 🙂

Yes, right, as author of wordpress FAQ plugin, we like this function too 🙂  And the feature request is great, our developer developed new version for the wordpress FAQ plugin, when you edit the wordpress FAQ post, in the right hand of the WordPress FAQ editor, you will find a metabox “FAQ settings for this page”, and in this metabox, you will find a new option: “NO-Index for this FAQ post?”

As you can see, if you checked “NO-Index for this FAQ post?” option in the “FAQ settings for this page” meta box, in the front end, we will add a no index meta in the FAQ page — to tell search engine do not index this URL in their search result, for avoid duplicated content, also if you do not hope your FAQ be listed in search engine, you can click this “NO-Index for this FAQ post?” option to remove all FAQ posts from search engine too 🙂

What’s new in WordPress Tooltip Plugin 14.3.6?

We got a user’s ticket, he requested a few tooltip features for the woocommerce products, we have realized it for him a few days before, then he told us he purchased wordpress tooltips multi-site license plugin, for use advanced woocommerce tooltip addon for his client’s site, but he do not know how to use the woocommerce tooltip addon, we analyzed his ticket, we found the problem is he do not know how to use to woocommerce tooltip menu to enable / disable “Tooltips for WooCommerce Product Title” / “Tooltips for WooCommerce Product Short Description” / “Tooltips for WooCommerce Product Description” / “Tooltips for WooCommerce Product Attribute”  / “Tooltips for WooCommerce Product Bundles Plugin” / “Tooltips for WooCommerce Product Specifications Plugin”, we write a detailed document for him yesterday, and our developer think a better method to help users use woocommerce tooltip and woocommerce glossary addon easier — is write a woocommerce tooltip menu notify admin bar for users, so after users activated woocommerce tooltip and woocommerce glossary  addon, they will know where to find the woocommerce tooltip menu and woocommerce glossary menu to  set up their woocommerce tooltip and woocommerce glossary for woocommerce products 🙂

How to Add Tooltip Effect on WooCommerce Product Attribute Label?

Can I Add Tooltip Effect on WooCommerce Product Attribute Label?

A user of the wordpess tooltip plugin has asked us a question

I would like to add a tooltip to a WooCommerce product attribute label is this possible with your plugin?

We replied:

If you click the product tab ” Additional information “, you will find we have added a few tooltips effects on product attribute, is this what you want?

Then the user told us:

I don’t think that’s quite what we need. The tooltips in your demo store are for the attribute itself, we are looking to add a tooltip to the attribute label – see attached screenshot with the words that we would like a tooltip for highlighted.

Digging through the internet I’ve found many posts asking how to do this, but no clear answers.

So if you can help that would be great.

So why we developed the new version of wordpress tooltip multisite-license plugin 14.3.0, to support tooltip for the woocommerce product attribute label, it looks like this:

Have purchased & installed the plugin but am having issue getting it to do what we need. I added one tooltip – ‘Xtreme’ and ensured that all post types are enabled.  However the tooltip does not show on the Woo Product page (its anattribute label as discussed below.)
It does show on a standard post & on the Woo Cart page.

I have the following addons enabled :
Tooltips for WooCommerce Products:
Glossary for WooCommerce Products:
Tooltips for Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce
The tooltip only shows on the Woo Cart page – nothing on the Woo product page as previously advised!

So we decided write a new document for help users use it more easier

How to Add Tooltip Effect on WooCommerce Product Attribute Label?

1: Download and install wordpress tooltip pro plugin
2: Login wordpress admin area
3: Click “Tooltips” menu item

4: Click “Addons” sub menu item, you will open “Tooltips Addon Settings” panel, it looks like this:

5: In “Enable / Disable Tooltips for WooCommerce Products” panel, please select “Enable Tooltips for WooCommerce” and click “Update Now” button

6: Click tooltips menu again
7: Click “woo tooltips” sub menu item, it looks like this:

7: Then you will open “Advanced WooCommerce Tooltips Addon Settings” panel, it looks like this:

8: Please enable “Tooltips for WooCommerce Product Attribute”, also please enable all other 7 woocommerce tooltip options.

Then in the front end, you will find woocommerce tooltips works well on woocommerce product attribute labels, it looks like this:

How to Make the WordPress Tooltip Customized Style the Same as the “light” Style?

1: Download and install wordpress tooltip pro plugin
2: Login wordpress admin area
3: Click “Tooltips” menu item
4: Click “Tooltips Style” sub menu item, you will open “Tooltips Style Settings” panel,it looks like this:

5: In the Tooltip Box Style panel, please select “Customized”, then click “Update Now”

7: In the option: “Tooltip Font Color” option, please click the color picker to select your font color, or just input the tooltip font color directly: #454545, it looks like this:

Then in the option “Tooltip Box Background”, please select white via color picker, or enter “#ffffff” directly
And in the option “Tooltip Border Color”, select gray in the color picker, or enter “#e2e2e2”
Then  you will own the wordpress tooltip “light” template and you can custom it now 🙂

9: After set up all options, please remember to Click “Save Change” blue button
10 In front end, all wordpress tooltips will pop up with your customized light tooltip template

Changes in WordPress Tooltips Pro Plugin 14.3.4

We get an amazing wordpress tooltip user’s feedback, he get a strange problem on his wordpress glossary page:
 wide “S” letter on Gloosary page
We checked his site, we found at the wordpress glossary navigation bar, his “S” letter have a width about 200px, we checked his page source carefully, finally in the style.css of his wordpress theme, we found:
> > about S error wide, it is because in your style.css, there are one line:
> > .s {width: 220px;}
> > May be comment it in your style.css will solve the problem? Not sure will it caused any other problem? 🙂
The client replied:
can you change your style names to be less generic? like
> > .tooltips-a
> > .tooltips-b
> > .tooltips-c
> >
> > etc..
> > thanks
Although we think nearly no wordpress theme author will develop their theme by .s, .a, .b… and so on, but the most important thing is do the best work on our self side, our developer re-developed our jquery directory plugin, to avoid this kind of problem happen again 🙂

What’s new in wordpress tooltips plugin 7.4.1?

We get an amazing user’s ticket, in which he told us a bug:
I was able to reproduce this bug here. It is not happening always, but you can see it here with tooltip “DOM” found inside word “každom”
We checked in his page, we found after created tooltip term “dom”,  in the front end, we found wordpress tooltip added tooltip effect for the “dom” in the word každom, the user told us:
it should not work like this, please add this function “recognize  tooltip only as whole word”

We checked our codes carefully, yes, this is a bug, we tried to created tooltip terms in our side, we found the problem existed in Slovakian and French, our developer have developed a new version wordpress tooltips plugin 7.4.1 to fix this problem 🙂

Hello and good day!
In my glossary page, I have two comments:
1.is possible hide the Search bar? Can this be a option in Glossary Settings ?
We replied:
Thanks for the suggestion, we will add an new option to display or hide search bar in glossary page 🙂
Actually, when users use our [glossary] shortcode to build a wordpress glossary page, he can display and hide glossary search bar with this method:
[glossary searchform='no']
or
[glossary searchform='yes']
By default, if you just use glossary shortcode [glossary], it means glossary page will display glossary search form 🙂
Our developer checked the ticket and he think many users like a option which can set up glossary search form just via one link in back end in one time, then users do not need enter searchform = no or searchform = yes every time, this is a great idea, that’s why we developed wordpress tooltip plugin 14.3.2 🙂
If you upgrade to the wordpress glossary plugin 14.3.2, in back end, if you click tooltips menu item, and click glossary settings sub menu item, you will open the glossary settings panel, it looks like this:

At the bottom, you will find the new option “Display Glossary Search Form?”, if you click “YES”, then the glossary search form will displayed at the top of the glossary table, if you click “NO”, then the glossary search form will be hide in the wordpress glossary page 🙂
Please note, wordpress glossary users can use [glossary searchform='no'] or [glossary searchform='yes'] to display or hide glossary search form too, and the priority of the short code is higher than the option value set in the backend, because we want to keep more options available for page builder users 🙂
