I need the tooltips that have the same word within them to only show the more dominant/longer term.
For example, ‘representative’ and ‘representative democracy’. These both have their own tooltip, but on the page it will show both when the term ‘representative democracy’ is shown. I only want ‘representative democracy’ to show.
How can I do this?
teamModeratorHi Dear Ross,
I hope this message finds you well and that you are having happy days with your family.
Thank you for your message; we are very pleased to help you.
We have built an online demo at:
Dear Ross, Tooltip Preference
https://demos.tooltips.org/dear-ross-tooltip-preference/
In this demo, you can find that everything works well. When you hover the mouse over “representative democracy,” a tooltip window will pop up with the following content:
“Representative democracy is a form of government in which citizens elect representatives to make decisions and pass laws on their behalf. Instead of directly voting on every issue, the public selects officials (such as legislators) who are accountable to them. This system is designed to ensure that the views and interests of the electorate are represented in governance.”
When you hover over the term “representative,” a tooltip window will pop up with the following content:
“A ‘representative’ is an individual chosen or elected to act on behalf of others. In the context of government, representatives may serve in legislative bodies, councils, or other political offices, making decisions to reflect the will and needs of the people who elected them.”
If I misunderstood you, I apologize for that. Could you please provide the following information?
The tooltip version that you are using
The URL that includes the issue
A little more detail about the issueThanks, and have a blessed day with your family.
Best regards,
