Streamlining Glossary for a Minimalist Experience, New Option to Remove Alphabetical Navigation Bar in WordPress Tooltips Glossary Page

Hi, dear  WordPress Tooltip plugin users, I hope this message finds you are doing well and having wonderful days with your family. We received a feature request from an amazing WordPress tooltips free user:

Title:

Streamlining My Glossary for a Minimalist Experience

Message:

Hey there!

I hope you’re doing well! I’ve been thinking about my glossary, and I’d love to simplify it a bit. My vocabulary is pretty small, and honestly, I’m not keen on navigating it alphabetically. As a minimalist at heart, I really appreciate a clean, uncluttered look.

What I’m aiming for is a layout that keeps the focus on specific vocabulary items without any distractions. Would it be possible to remove the alphabetical navigation bar? The simpler, the better!

Thanks a bunch for considering this!

Best,

Our wordpress tooltips plugin developer has reviewed this ticket, in fact, we implemented this feature approximately 4 yeas ago in wordpress tooltips pro plus version, we are pleased to announce that we will also add this functionality to the free version of  wordpress tooltips  🙂

Improving Glossary Navigation: Option to Streamline with Removal of Alphabetical Bar

  1. Log in to WordPress as an admin.
  2. Upgrade to WordPress Tooltips Free version 10.4.3 or higher.
  3. In the WordPress dashboard, click on the “Tooltips” menu item.
  4. Click on the “Glossary Settings” submenu item. This will open the “Glossary Settings” panel. Below is a screenshot of our previous version of WordPress Tooltips Pro Plus, which looks like this:
  5. As you can see, there is an option labeled “Remove Navigation Bar in Glossary Page” in the “Glossary Settings” panel. If you wish to remove the glossary navigation bar, please select “Yes.” The alphabetical navigation bar will then be removed from the glossary page on the front end.

Please note that this option will also affect the UI of all wordpress directory shortcodes in wordpress tooltips plugin

Thank you for the great suggestion! We have added a license for WordPress FAQ Pro to your account. If you would like to upgrade to WordPress Tooltips Pro Plus, we would be happy to offer you a 20% discount.
