WordPress Tooltips Pro Plus Plugin 32.8.8, New Feature — Open ‘Read More’ Links in a New Window in WordPress Tooltips
Hi, dear WordPress Tooltips plugin users, I trust this message finds you in good spirits and enjoying joyful moments with your family. A few days ago, we received a ticket from an amazing WordPress Tooltips user. He mentioned that he created a glossary page and selected ‘Use Glossary Excerpt in Glossary Pages’ under the ‘Glossary Excerpt of Full Content’ option in the settings panel. However, when clicking ‘Read More’ in the excerpt on the front end, the glossary link opens in the same window. He requested the ability to open the glossary link in a new window instead.
Our wordpress tooltips plugin developer reviewed this ticket, and we released a new version, WordPress Tooltips Pro Plus 32.8.8, to implement the feature request to ‘Open ‘Read More’ Links in a New Window’ for our amazing user.
How to Open ‘Read More’ Links in a New Window in WordPress Tooltips Plugin?
1: click the “download” menu item on the top bar of wordpress tooltips site , download wordpress tooltip pro plus plugin which version >= 32.8.8
2: login your wordpress website as admin
3: In the wordpress dashboard, click “Tooltips” menu item, it looks like this:

4: Now, click on the “Glossary Settings” submenu item in “tooltips” menu item
5: Then, in the glossary settings panel, you will find the new option “Open Read-More in New Window”, it looks like this:

5: In the option “Open Read-More in New Window”, please select “YES”. This will ensure that when you click on the read more link of glossary excerpt in the glossary page, the read more link will opens a new window. If you select “NO”, the it will open in the same window.
